Description
Come and recharge your batteries in this large south-facing house, nestled in the heart of the Écrins National Park. You will love the breathtaking view of the Meije range, the freshness of the garden, the comfort of a modern and well-thought-out house. Ideally located, you can easily access multiple hiking trails, admire the glacier by cable car, go for bike rides, etc. The space . The house is arranged on two levels: - A first level with a huge 60 m2 living room that opens onto a large terrace with a magnificent view of the Meije massif, a pantry for your groceries, a first independent toilet and a fireplace for the cool nights of our mountains - A second level with 3 bedrooms overlooking the garden, a bathroom with a bathtub and two sinks, a second toilet separate from the bathroom and a washing machine. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed with a magnificent mountain view and direct access to the garden. Bedroom 2 is composed of 2 single 90 cm beds that can be arranged as a large double bed if needed. This room also has a beautiful mountain view and direct access to the garden. Bedroom no. 3 is 23 m2 and has 2 double beds of 140 cm placed at the ends of the room with, in the center, a beautiful common area. It's a large room with beautiful views of the old stone village, church and bread oven. This room is perfectly arranged for children to sleep, to host a family reunion or to sleep with friends. Workspace: The house has 2 offices, one upstairs with a Meije view, the other downstairs with a charming village view. Fiber-type Wi-Fi connection With direct access to the road without the slightest noise (you are at the bottom) with parking spaces in front of the house, you will not need to "cross the whole village" to drop off your luggage or groceries! Practical, spacious and tastefully arranged, this house will seduce you with its breathtaking views, ideal location and magnificent south-facing exposure. See you soon in our mountains! . Other things to note . ********** Hiking ********** Many hikes of different levels are accessible from the house. - For beautiful scenery while staying on a short walk, go down to La Grave by the trail: 45 min downhill and 1 hr 15 min uphill on return. Walk from the house, take the path that goes down from the garden, cross the stone village and find the marked trail at the bottom of the village. For slightly longer hikes, go to Le Chazelet! And along the way, be sure to stop at the Perchoir de l'Oratoire. With this "bridge in the void" it's a guaranteed thrill for everyone! If you want to admire the beauty of the high mountain lakes, go to Lac du Pontet (30-minute walk) or Lac du Goléon (5.5 hours). Sit at an altitude of more than 3200 m, in the heart of the Alps and enjoy a breathtaking view at the top. You can even see Mont Blanc appear on a clear day! A very good restaurant is at the top but if you prefer to picnic, do not hesitate to go back down to 2400 m (level where you change cabins) and settle in the sun by the lake (be careful: it can be very cold at the top, even in summer!) ********** Biking ********** - Road Bike: come and pedal in the heart of the giants by passing the Col du Lautaret, the Col du Galibier etc. mythical names from the house. - Mountain biking: many routes of different levels are available from the house. Possible descent of the Vallons de la Meije (Advanced level). - Electric bike: . For guaranteed thrills, rent an electric bike! Go to the Refuge du Pic du Mas de la Grave for lunch (be careful, wide but steep path) or be guided around the Emparis plateau. One of the most beautiful places in the area! . With children, choose to go to the arboretum in La Grave and go down the small road that runs along the river to the village of Fréaux. Fairly flat route and very easy to access. ********** With Children ********** * La Meije Cable Car * Visit the "Ferme des Molières" and its adorable herd of goats! Watch the animals being milked at the end of the day and leave with a delicious goat cheese. Top of the village of La Grave, 15 minutes from the house by car * Arboretum and playground in La Grave. Lots of games for kids and a beautiful zip line! * Tennis * Mini golf * Visit the Jardin du Lautaret: 20 minutes from the house by car, admire the view at Col du Lautaret and visit its exceptional botanical garden. ********** Other Sports ********** - Rafting - Via ferrata - Trail running - Paragliding - Canyoning - Mountaineering Contact the La Grave Guides office ********** Heritage ********** * The Church of La Grave: built in the 11th century, it forms with the Chapel of the Penitents and its cemetery a beautiful architectural ensemble of Romanesque style. Not to be missed. * the communal oven of Villar-d'Arène, 15 minutes from the house * the old Arsine Mill: don't hesitate to eat at Valerie's, garden produce and homemade pasta : ) Small summer farmers' market every Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. from July to end of September. * The beautiful collection of the Mineral Museum in Bourg d'Oisan will delight young and old in rainy weather. ********** Relaxation and Spa ********** * Les Grands Bains de Monétiers: Don't miss out on these natural hot springs. Outdoor heated pool, underwater music, hot water, cold water, sauna, hammam etc. A treat for the senses 30 minutes from the house! Tip: opt for the extra €9 giving you access to the Romano Irish area. A real plus without the kids. .
