Welcome to our Garden of Eden! Our property boasts unobstructed views of the Shotover River as well as stunning Bowen Peak. Located at the end of a cul-de-sac, Garden Of Eden is very private, quiet & limited street lights result in stunning night sky views. A 12min drive from the house will have you at the base carpark of Coronet Ski field. Historic Gantley's pub (Cargo Brewery) and Canyon Brewery are a 10min walk away. The space You will have full use of the lower floor of our family home with your own private entrance accessible via the garden. There are two sets of steps (three steps each) leading down to your entrance. The bedroom is spacious with a very comfortable Queen bed complete with electric blankets for any cooler nights as well as a wall panel heater to ensure your stay with us is cosy and snug. There is also ample wardrobe and shelving space for your belongings. There is a flat screen, wall mounted TV which allows you to enjoy Netflix, Disney+, Neon or Sky Sports from the comfort of your bed. We also offer High Speed Fibre broadband. The sliding doors in the bedroom open up onto the private patio where you can enjoy your morning coffee, listen to the native birdlife or stroll through the garden to look at the Shotover canyon below. There is next to zero light pollution at night, so on clear evenings you can watch the Milky Way and the galaxies overhead. We highly recommend a full moon walk to the river if you have the chance - it's really quite special! (We're happy to lend you head torches for this too!) The kitchen/dining area is a brand new installation with a two-plate induction stove top, dishwasher drawer, full size fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee plunger and toaster. All crockery, cutlery and cookware is also brand new. We offer a full range of herbal and regular teas as well as ground plunger coffee for your stay. A selection of single pack cereals are provided as well as sugar, salt and pepper. The dining table and chairs provide a place to have your meals, play boardgames or can also be used as a work station. The entire space is carpeted throughout apart from the bathroom. There are power outlets next to the dining table, in the kitchen, in the bathroom and bedroom. The main sliding doors also open up onto the private patio where there is a table and two chairs for your use. You are more than welcome to explore our gardens and help yourself to any fruit, vegetables and herbs that may be ready to eat in our extensive and productive garden. All bedding and linen including towels and tea towels are provided. If you require extra towels, pillows or blankets, please just let us know. Please note we have a very friendly large older dog and his little 9 month old puppy brother who both love meeting people. They are both exuberant but absolute softies and only ever want as many pats and cuddles as possible. We understand that not everyone loves dogs as much we do and for this reason there is separate guest pathway leading down to the front garden. The dogs also have no access to your area of the accomodation. There are two cats too who you may see frolicking in the garden. Ok Guest access You have full use of the lower floor of our home and this is accessible via the pathway in the garden. There is a lockbox located outside the main sliding doors. You are most welcome to wander around the garden. You may see us pottering around in there from time to time, but if you wish to be left to your own devices, that is absolutely fine! Other things to note During the hotter months, you may encounter sandflies when outdoors. We've provided sandfly repellant for your use if needed.
