Tranquility in Karen, Nairobi that my father and I built with all our love. It's secluded on a 1-acre space with a beautiful farm surrounded by tonnes of nature. While this home is the perfect Nairobi staycation getaway for couples, it's easy to get around. You are only: 10 mins to The Hub 20 mins to Giraffe Centre and DSWT 2 mins from a Java and convenience store The space This hidden gem in Karen, Nairobi combines a Mabati (metal sheet) exterior with a luxury interior. We used Mabati to mimic a container look, but also to give us the flexibility of a custom size. The space has been complemented with a beautiful large patio to enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding the entire house. The house is a tiny 1 bedroom home that feels large and airy thanks to the beautiful large windows in both, the room and open concept sitting room and kitchen. Inside the kitchen, you'll find all the pots, pans and plates you need to pretend like you’re going to cook yourself dinner from scratch! The fridge is also stocked with frozen foods, soft and hard drinks that you can purchase if needed. There is no TV so you can enjoy being in the nature and with your thoughts. In terms of amenities, we've got you covered! You'll have access to small, yet important things like: A blow dryer, towels, soap, napkins, oxygen and more. The house is positioned on an elevation on the land, suspending the patio and providing views as if you're in the middle of a forest. There is a large front garden with a beautiful fireplace and a fish pond (where we're currently rearing fish). There is a herb garden growing behind the house - currently out of bounds until the herbs grow. A friendly neighborhood dog has conveniently decided to make the garden his home, and we love him and have named him Bobo. You may encounter him once in a while because he loves to say hello. Please do not feed him though. The house is further surrounded by a beautiful farm where we're making plans to grow loads of organic crops. Guest access The entire house. Other things to note Our lovely house manager will check you in and show you around. Our help lives on the site in his tiny hut, and protects the entire premises. Cameras are installed (OUTSIDE THE HOUSE) for your safety and the safety of the house. The area, however, is very safe in general.
