Stylish cottage close to the vineyards of Beaune

Come enjoy all the goodness Burgundy has to offer in this stylish French cottage nestled between the vineyards of Hautes Côtes de Beaune and the lakes and forests of natural park Le Morvan. An authentic 150+ year old farmhouse converted into our family home and a holiday cottage in a tiny French village a stone’s throw away from the wine region of Beaune. We offer vegetarian and vegan breakfast and dinner upon request. The space Welcome to The Cook's Cottage! If you love the rustic French farmhouse style, you'll appreciate the gorgeous limestone fireplace, the natural lime render on the walls that keep the house cool even during the hottest summers (no airco needed), the kitchen with limestone countertops from the local quarry and the traditional Lacanche range which is made only 4 kms away from the cottage... We converted these former stables into a charming cottage with authentic details using calming colors and brocante decor. It is a 50 sqm open space with a kitchen, seating area, dining area and a comfortable large king size bed (180cmx200cm). There is a separate bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink. All linens for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and beach towels for the swimming pool are provided. The cottage is on the ground floor of our 150+ year old farmhouse. Our personal spaces are on the 1st floor and in the rest of the farmhouse’s ground floor. You have a private entrance and because of the layout of the house your privacy is ensured. You also have a private secluded garden in front of the house on the other side of the tiny and very quiet road so you can enjoy privacy while relaxing, sun bathing or dining. Please note that we can not welcome children under the age of 12, babies or pets. Guest access You enter the cottage through your private front door. You have access to the shared garden and swimming pool area as well as a lovely shared terrace which offers beautiful views of the fields and forest behind our farmhouse. There is also a table and two chairs in front of the front door where you can enjoy a coffee, breakfast or dinner as well as a private secluded little garden in front of your cottage on the other side of our small street (there is hardly any traffic so it’s very quiet). This private garden just for you offers you a space to relax, sun bathe, dine or make a cosy campfire at night. Other things to note You are staying on our property. We live here with our family and our very friendly but shy cat Tigrette. The garden, swimming pool and terrace are shared with the guests of The Writer's Cabin (see our other listing on Airbnb) and with us although we are mostly at work in and around the house. You have a private secluded garden in front of your cottage just on the other side of the quiet road we live on. We are a "refuge d'hôtes": a place where people come to find calm, enjoy the silence, the incredibly starry skies, nature and stillness. The cottage is self catering (breakfast not included) but we offer vegetarian and vegan breakfast and dinner upon request.
