Welcome to Fern Hill - a luxe cabin getaway nestled in the rural Juniata Valley with a beautiful mountain view! The perfect place for reconnection, refreshment & relaxation with your family and friends. Where you don't have to leave the comforts of home behind because we welcome you into ours. Sit on the front porch swing and watch the sun rise over the mountains. Snuggle by a cozy fire around the fire pit or curl up with a book on the back patio as the sun goes down. The space Tucked back in the woods, the lane opens into a clearing with plenty of outdoor space to relax & unwind. Fern Hill sits on a little over 2 acres with a large yard for children to run and play. We have camper hook-up available (electric & water) for larger groups - an additional fee applies - as well as room for tents if needed. A front porch with porch swing facing the mountains and a large back patio covered with pretty string lighting with comfortable furniture, rocking chairs, picnic table & grill. Grill tools provided. A very welcoming fire pit area covered with string lighting, plenty of firewood for your use, a picnic table and chairs. A sandbox and swingset for children as well. Outdoor games such as Volleyball, Crossnet, Spikeball, Horseshoes, Corn Hole and more. Fern Hill has been totally gutted and remodeled to fit large family groups as well as ladies' retreats and room for your friend groups! With 8 bedrooms, Fern Hill will sleep up to 30 people. Almost all bedrooms feature a Lucid memory foam gel mattress for exceptional comfort. All bedrooms also feature room darkening blinds. Bedroom #1: Decorated in blue & cream, this room on the main floor features a queen bed and has a dresser, closet (with pack n play, ironing board, box fan, extra blankets & pillows) and an accent chair. Located directly across the hall from the laundry and half bath. View of front porch and pines. Bedroom #2: Featuring 2 twin bunkbeds and decorated in white & sage green, this room is located at the top of the stairs off the kitchen and will sleep 4. A full bathroom is attached and there is walk through access to bedroom #3. This room is perfect for teens or children and is not private as there is no door at top of stairs. View of the mountains and neighboring pines. Bedroom #3: One of my favorite rooms due to the colors, light and textures! It has a very calming atmosphere. Very neutral color tones featuring 2 queen beds, windows on both sides for lots of natural light and a garment rack for clothes with access through bedroom #2. View of the mountains and pines. Bedroom #4: Located on the main floor between the dining room and family room, this is a pretty room done in blush & neutrals. A full size bed for your comfort and a cute garment rack for clothes. View of side yard and neighboring pines. Bedroom #5: This is one of four bedrooms located on the upper level above the family room. This is also the largest bedroom featuring a queen bed, dresser, comfortable side chair and done up in neutrals, eucalyptus green and a touch of olive. Very welcoming and lots of light with a view of the front yard and mountains too! Bedroom #6: Next door to the eucalyptus room, is a lovely corner room decorated in navy & cream. Lots of windows for natural light and a view of the mountains. Featuring a queen bed, accent chair and garment rack for clothes. Located next door to a full bathroom as well. Bedroom #7: Located down the hall from bedroom #6 and next to the full bathroom as well, this room has a more masculine feel. Decorated in wood tones, gray and leather, this room features a queen bed and has a dedicated work space too with a cute desk. View of the side yard, pines and mountains. Bedroom #8: Located to the left up the stairs off the family room and across the hall from bedroom #5, this room is perfect for either a family with lots of littles or more of a dorm room for teens or younger children. Decorated with a masculine feel, this room has 2 FULL SIZE bunkbeds that will sleep 8. Sturdy enough for 8 adults. Closet with extra blankets & pillows, pack n play, and portable fan. Small dresser too. Game room: We converted part of the original garage to a game room! A ping pong table, fully stocked cabinets with board & card games, puzzles, coloring books, radio & tape player, etc. A sleeper loveseat that converts to a single bed (bedding for this is located in the family room closet). Child size chairs & table and an adorable kitchen set. More toys are located in the family room closet under the stairs. Outdoor entrance to the front yard and driveway. Family room: Large room that was originally a 2 car garage, it now features 3 full couches, 2 loveseats, 3 recliners and a single chair. Also plenty of room to set up an air mattress or 2. Extra folding chairs in closet under steps, bookcase with children's books and other reading material. Huge picture windows that face the front yard and drive with lovely views of the mountains. Dining room: Main entrance off the front deck. Full coffee bar, seating for up to 20 people with a full bathroom too. Access to the backyard patio through the French doors. Kitchen: Fully stocked with all your basic supplies (cooking spray & oil, salt & pepper, additional seasonings) with lots of extras. Features a microwave, dishwasher, 5 burner stove & oven, and 2 French door refrigerators with bottom freezers, ice makers & water. Water is drinkable. Double stainless steel sink. Silverware, cups, bowls and plates for up to 30 people. Mixing bowls, Pyrex dishes, baking sheets, pots & pans, hand mixer, blender, food chopper, toaster, tea kettle, all your necessary kitchen tools - so much more! Hutch in dining room is stocked as well with 2 electric griddles, electric skillet, 18 qt. roaster, serving bowls. Starting supply of paper goods in cabinet too. Floating counter along wall for additional seating/serving and breakfast nook with seating for 4 at the wood table & chair set. Laundry: Washer and dryer for use. Laundry soap, dryer sheets, wash basket and clothespins provided. Outdoor retractable clothesline located around corner of back patio. Iron and water cooler in cabinet in laundry as well as cleaning supplies. Bathrooms: All full bathrooms are fully stocked with toilet paper, towels, washcloths, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Feminine hygiene supplies, facial cotton rounds, q-tips, cotton balls, make-up wipes, hair dryer and hand mirror. First aid kits are located in the bathroom off of dining room and bathroom above family room. Each bathroom is equipped with basic cleaning supplies. Guest access Full access to entire cabin and surrounding property. Please be respectful of neighbors - no trespassing signs are located at property lines. Other things to note Please note that Fern Hill does NOT have WiFi. However, the cell service in the area is normally good and you are able to stream anything you want and have online access. We promote time away to disconnect and enjoy nature, while building relationships with family and friends.
