Eco log cabin in Mid Cornwall

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. At Jeffrey's Retreat you will be at one with nature in your secluded eco cabin set in its own paddock which is fully fenced for dogs to run freely. The cabin is off grid, powered by solar panels and LPG gas for hot water and cooking. With its central location enjoy easy access to the beaches of north Cornwall and many attractions. There are miles of footpaths, bridleways and by ways from the cabin for the walker, cyclist and horse rider. The space The cabin is situated on our small holding where we breed sheep . We have free range chickens and ducks. April is lambing time, May is sheep shearing time and June and July haymaking time. All help welcome! You are welcome to explore our our smallholding. To make the most of your holiday here wellingtons are recommended! The cabin is designed to be as carbon neutral as possible and is off grid. Power is generated by solar panels and stored in batteries. It is a 12 volt system with the exception of the power sockets in the bedroom which you can use for supplied hairdryer and charging your phone. Water is mains supply. Water heating is by LPG gas boiler. Cooking inside with LPG gas cooker or outside with the firepit/BBQ. Waste water flows into a tank which is regularly emptied into our 3 tier system so the toilet only accepts the 3ps! There is a woodburner for those chilly nights and we provide a selection of games and books. Guest access Guests have the whole cabin to themselves. In addition they have sole use of the 1/3 acre paddock in which it stands.
