The space Pal Mar is a gorgeous, recently remodeled 2-bed 2-bath apartment located at the Marbella del Caribe Condominiums in Isla Verde, right in front of one of the most beautiful beaches in Puerto Rico and arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. From Pal Mar you and your guests will be staying right on a 1.5 mile-long beach and will be within walking distance to endless options for dining and nightlife. The property comfortably sleeps 4 adults in 1 king bed and 1 queen bed and is 5 minutes from Luis Muñoz Marin and includes dedicated parking for one vehicle. You’ll love the beach views from every room in the apartment and the recently renovated kitchen and bathrooms. **Please do note that some changes have been made to the apartment, like for example new decorations, dining table and sofas, than the ones seen in the current pictures. If you have concerns about this, please reach out to us before booking.** 🏗️ BUILDING & NEIGHBORING UNIT CONSTRUCTION NOTICE: The building is currently undergoing improvements to the handicap ramps ♿ and surrounding sidewalks. You may experience some construction activity or noise 🔨 during the day while this work is being completed. Additionally, the unit next to Pal Mar is undergoing renovations 🏠. Construction noise is expected during working hours ⏰. This work is still ongoing, and this note will be removed once the renovations are complete. ⚠️ IMPORTANT RULES: 🚭 NO SMOKING: Smoking of any kind (cigarettes, tobacco, marijuana, or cannabis) is not allowed on the balconies or in common areas. Violations will incur an immediate $50 fine. ❌ NO HANGING ITEMS: Hanging clothes, towels, mops, or any other items on walls or balcony railings is strictly prohibited. Violations will incur an immediate $50 fine. LIVING AREAS Enter the property, and you are greeted with beautiful beach and ocean views as you look across the dining room, living room, and balcony. The tropical chic decor, along with its statement palm trees wallpaper, ensures the living areas pop with personality and unique style. The dining room comfortably sits 4 adults and has a convenient opening to the kitchen counter so you can serve meals buffet style. The living room has a massive 65-inch flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix, so you can sit and relax while playing your favorite tv show as you enjoy the view and trade winds. The unit also has a washer and dryer, convenient for longer stays!   SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS The master bedroom has 1 king bed with epic views of Isla Verde Beach. There is a flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix. There is also a new private full bathroom with a rain shower head and traditional travertine tiles. It is important to point out that the master bedroom does not have a closet. There are drawers to store clothes and a portable clothing rack to hang shirts, blouses, etc. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and spectacular beach views. There is a large closet in this room. The unit also has a 2nd dedicated full bathroom with a rain shower head and traditional travertine tiles.  PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.   KITCHEN Pal Mar has a brand new European sleek style kitchen with quartz countertops, LED lighting, stovetop, oven, dishwasher, full fridge with ice maker, microwave oven, and coffee maker. The kitchen opens up to the dining and living room, so you always socialize with the rest of the group. GETTING AROUND & PARKING We recommend moving around via Uber if staying within the general Isla Verde and San Juan area. If you decide to rent a car, this unit offers one (1) assigned parking spot. LOCATION Pal Mar is located on Isla Verde Beach, Puerto Rico. This is arguably the best urban beach in the Caribbean. The beach is 1.5 miles long, and the Isla Verde strip has a long list of dining and nightlife options. The apartment is 5 minutes from the airport and has car rentals, supermarkets, a Walgreens, and multiple hotels and casinos within walking distance. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas; here are some of our favorites: Chill at the beach! It is one of our favorite beaches in Puerto Rico and a must-do if you stay at Pal Mart. The apartment has beach chairs, towels, and coolers for a long day at the beach. Lunch or dinner at La Placita de Santurce, a local market with 20+ restaurants and awesome nightlife. We love Santaella restaurant, local cuisine with a modern approach in La Placita. Shop at  The Mall of San Juan. This brand new mall is a 10-minute drive from the apartment and has excellent shops and dining options. Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 30-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship. Spend a day in Old San Juan. Pal Mar is a 15 min drive away from the oldest city in all of the US. There is a lot of history and great food and drinks to savor. UTILITY INTERRUPTIONS Pal Mar does not have a backup generator or water cistern and unfortunately power and water outages can happen in Puerto Rico. If water or power is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests will have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Other things to note STARTER AMENITIES At West Indies Vacation Rentals, we strive to provide top-notch amenities, ensuring our guests feel at home during their stay. All properties come with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. We provide a set of disposable essentials to help you get your vacation started comfortably. These include: - 1 set of hotel-size soap and shampoo (per bathroom) - 3 garbage bags - 1 roll of paper towels - 2 rolls of toilet paper (per bathroom) - 1 dish soap - 1 dish sponge - A small amount of laundry detergent Please note that we do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is the guest’s responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock any additional items needed for the duration of the stay. Most properties also include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler. You may reach out to us 5 days before arrival for confirmation. CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and since this is a self-check-in unit, you can arrive anytime after that. If you’d like to check in earlier, please contact us the day before your arrival, and we’ll confirm availability. When possible, early check-in typically starts around 11:00 AM. Please note that early check-in is subject to availability and depends on our cleaning schedule. If you need a guaranteed early check-in, you will need to book from the night prior to ensure the property is ready upon your arrival. Check-out time is at 11:00 AM. For late check-out requests, please reach out the day before your departure, and we’ll be happy to check availability for you. INSTANT & LAST-MINUTE BOOKING POLICY Instant Booking is available if reserved at least 2 days before check-in. For same-day or next-day reservations, availability depends on our cleaning schedule. You’re welcome to send a booking request, but please note that this does not guarantee the unit is booked—all requests must be reviewed and approved by our team. Requests sent late at night may not be reviewed until the following day, and same-day bookings are usually not accepted after 6:00 PM. We appreciate your understanding! HOUSE RULES NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. A $500 smoking fee will be charged if this rule is violated. NO PETS: While we are pet lovers, pets are not permitted at the property at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if this rule is violated, and guests may be asked to leave the property. QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be mindful of noise during these hours out of respect for nearby residents/neighbors. UTILITIES (WATER & ELECTRICITY): In the event of an interruption to water or electrical service, the host is not responsible for hotel, alternate lodging, or transportation expenses. If service is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests may cancel the reservation and request a refund for unused nights only. Nights already used are non-refundable. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: The maximum occupancy is 4 adults/children at all times, including visitors. OCCUPANCY ENFORCEMENT: Occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Exceeding the maximum occupancy may result in immediate cancellation of the reservation or removal from the property without refund. TOWELS & LINENS: Towels and linens are provided for normal use only. Please do not use them for cleaning or allow them to be stained with food, grease, or other substances. Charges may apply for damaged or stained items. TOWEL HANGING: Please do not hang towels or any other items to dry in areas visible from outside the unit. A $100 community fine may apply if this rule is violated. SUBLETTING: Subletting or re-renting the property is not permitted. TRAVEL INSURANCE / HURRICANE SEASON We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, not only during the peak months of Hurricane Season (July to October) but also throughout the year to cover unexpected events such as travel delays, pandemics, or other unforeseen issues. Travel insurance is inexpensive and can reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, coverage will depend on the policy purchased.
