The space Welcome to Porchside Retreat at Skyview Ranch—where two cozy cabins nestle in a tranquil 3-acre valley for the ultimate private escape. Cactus Cottage and Sunset Shack are linked by a covered porch, offering a perfect space to relax, reconnect, and savor the beauty of the great outdoors. Guests enjoy exclusive access to a private Swim Spa Deck, complete with a soothing swim spa, Weber grill, pizza oven, and sun loungers—ideal for soaking in the fresh air and breathtaking scenery, all in total comfort. Unwind with shared access to a fishing pond, game arena, hiking trails, and the Sunset Deck, perfect for enjoying stunning views and outdoor activities. Guest Capacity Comfortably accommodates 6 adults and 4 children. Sunset Shack This cozy 300-square-foot cabin is ideal for couples or individuals, featuring a queen-sized bed, a kid's loft accessible by ladder, and a full bathroom. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, Keurig coffee machine, electric hot plate, and microwave. Sunset Shack sleeps 2 adults and 2 children. Cactus Cottage Another cozy 300-square-foot cabin perfect for couples or individuals, offering a queen-sized bed, a daybed with a twin trundle, a kid's loft with ladder access, a full-sized refrigerator, and a full bathroom. The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, Keurig coffee machine, electric cooktop, toaster, and microwave. Cactus Cottage sleeps 2 adults and 4 children. Covered Porch Between your cabins is a covered porch we’ve dubbed the “Dog Porch” with ample seating for you and your party to relax in the shade. There is a patio egg chair to swing away in and a large Connect 4 game to enjoy. At night, this space is decorated with string lights for the perfect setting. Exclusive Swim Spa Deck Guests enjoy exclusive access to the Swim Spa Deck, featuring a 17-foot Hydropool Swim Spa, sun loungers, a propane Weber Grill Seasonal Swim Spa Temperatures May through September: Pool temperature October through April: 90 degrees, adjustable to your desired hot tub temperature upon arrival. Picnic Area and Fire Pits Just outside of your cabins is a large area with a series of picnic tables to relax and enjoy meals outdoors. This space is heavily shaded by large trees with a swing chair. There is also a Solo Stove firepit stocked with wood ready for smores or an open fire to gather around. Shared Outdoor Spaces Guests at Porchside Retreat share the fishing pond, game arena, hiking trails, and Sunset Deck with other guests on the property. We’ve added a kayak, paddleboard and fishing poles on the Dog Porch for your personal use during your stay. There are cornhole boards in the Game Arena which is directly behind the cabins. The cornhole beam bags are in a sack that is tied to the horseshoe pit. Pet-Friendly Our property is dog-friendly! We allow up to 2 dogs per stay. Pets must be included in your guest count, and a non-refundable pet fee will be charged. Please keep them off the furniture and respect other guests. Larger Groups For larger groups, rent all three cabins or the entire ranch, which includes access to the boutique hotel and swimming pool. Search for Skyview Ranch in Bluff Dale, TX. Extra Guests If you'd like to accommodate extra company, feel free to pitch a tent in the nearby camping spot we have set up for you. Events Event hosting is allowed only when the entire ranch is booked. We're ready to help you organize your full ranch event, from corporate gatherings to weddings, with our award-winning chefs. Convenient Location Historic Granbury Square: 15 minutes Glen Rose: 15 minutes Stephenville: 15 minutes Guest access You will have private use of your cabins and shared access to the fully-fenced 34 acre ranch. The cabins, and fishing pond are in a 3 acre valley. If guests have rented either the other cabin or the boutique hotel that are on the ranch, you will have shared use of the fire pits, game arena, fishing pond and hiking trails. Please note that we have additional listings available at Skyview Ranch for the full ranch with all 8 bedrooms for family reunions and retreats. Other things to note Swim Spa Temperature: The swim spa is heated from October through April then converted into a swimming pool from May through September. Swim Spa Maintenance Schedule: To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, the pool is professionally serviced on a regular schedule. Service typically occurs every Wednesday. Wildlife Experience the beauty of Texas wildlife right on our peaceful ranch! Deer and turkeys roam freely, adding to the charm of your stay. We are pet-friendly and welcome two well-behaved dogs for a non-refundable pet fee of $75 per pet. Please kindly refrain from allowing pets on the furniture during your stay. Failure to comply may result in an additional $250 cleaning fee. New Construction Any newly constructed sleeping spaces on the property are not included in your reservation. These spaces may be made available for use on a case-by-case basis and will require an additional reservation fee if approved.
