The space 🐚 Welcome to our warm gîte renovated in 2023, located between Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer and Bernières-sur-Mer, just a 3-minute walk from the sea and close to the city center. We restored this old farmhouse ourselves, with love and patience. The tiling bears some marks of time, but it is also what gives the place all its charm: a perfect balance between countryside and seaside. 🏡 Comfortable and modern, this 43 m2 maisonette is ideal for a stay with friends and family (with your four-legged companions🐾). You will find a warm living room with a seating area, dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with a walk-in shower, as well as a terrace furnished with garden furniture and a barbecue for your meals in the sun ☀️. 🛏️ Inside, everything has been thought out for your comfort: A living room with a new sofa bed (February 2025) A cozy mezzanine with a double bed for peaceful nights (not suitable for children, not suitable for the elderly – low ceiling) A new wooden staircase, without risers to let the light pass. The staircase creaks slightly. A fully equipped kitchen (filter coffee machine + Senseo capsules, utensils, etc.) 🎲 To enhance your days, you will also find: Board games, books in French and English, children's beach games, a small slide (2 to 6 years old) TV with Chromecast, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ and speaker/radio 🌿 The private garden is fully fenced: your animals can frolic safely. It overlooks our vegetable garden and our shed, where we only go to garden and water the garden. 🐶 Dogs are welcome, under certain conditions: Do not climb on beds or sofa Do not scratch the walls Droppings to be picked up before departure They are allowed on the beach (which is rare in Normandy!), as well as access to restaurants in the city. A stone's throw away, large fields (nature reserve) await you for beautiful walks — dogs must stay on the trails 🐾 👋 We live right next door, in the townhouse, with Thaïs, our adorable Bernese shepherd that you may see behind the wooden fence. Guest access You have access to the entire home, free private parking, the path that leads you to the sea (it is a natural path with grass), the garden and your terrace. Check-in and check-out are self-service with a lockbox. The accommodation is accessible from 4 p.m. and check-out must be no later than 11 a.m. Other things to note The cottage is equipped with a macerating toilet that only accepts toilet paper (no tissues, no sopalain, otherwise a plumber must intervene to unblock it, it takes between €200 and €600 for the intervention depending on the situation) and the mezzanine is forbidden for small children, it has a low ceiling. A motion detector is present in the bathroom/toilet for the light. Some floor tiles at the sofa bed level have been broken (by opening and closing the sofa). It is an ecological house, insulated with wood fiber and cork. You can smell a slight smell of wood. This insulation has the advantage of being cool in summer and keeping warm in winter.
