Boathouse

Welcome to the boathouse right on the lake! The perfect place all year round to recharge the batteries or have as a starting point for excursions. On summer days, you start the day with a morning swim from the dock before sitting on the balcony for a good breakfast overlooking the lake. On autumn and winter days, you can light a fire in the fireplace and take a winter swim before setting the table for breakfast in the kitchen, still with the same nice view of the lake. If you want to go to Gothenburg, it's only a 7-minute walk to the bus. The space The boathouse is a 40 sqm sports cabin with a great cozy factor, large windows and patio doors in three directions to the terrace that runs around the house. From the entrance, you enter the large living room with a nice sofa bed opposite the fireplace and large windows facing the lake. You can choose to sleep on the sofa bed or on the comfortable mattress in the loft, also overlooking the lake. All windows in the living room have blackout curtains so you don't wake up too early from the morning rays. The large living room is open to the kitchen, which is open to the roof ridge. In the kitchen, you sit at the cozy folding table inside the openable window wall and eat the food you cooked on the stove in the kitchenette, or maybe grilled on the charcoal grill that is on the balcony. From the kitchen, you enter the small, but functional bathroom. The boathouse was originally built in the 1930s and is today updated to a fully modern house. You have free access to the jetty, swimming line and canoes (kayak and canoe). Life jackets are available. The jetty and the small beach are shared with the host family. On the beach, you can play boules (which are available to borrow) when the water is not too high. If you like to swim, you can use the 25-meter long swimming lane to keep track of the lengths. The dock is shared with the host family, who must pass the boathouse at the entrance side to get to the dock. Free parking. Cleaning, sheets and towels are included. Bring your own beach towels. Other things to note The boathouse is located down by the lake on a large hilly plot of land. From the parking lot, you walk past the big house (the host family's house) and down a long staircase with a few irregular steps down to the lake and the boathouse.
