Description
Full of character, Welsh Cottage is a beautifully styled and welcoming retreat for two. This tiny nook has just enough room for a couple (plus dog) to hunker down, with a cosy open-plan living area incorporating a smart, well-equipped kitchenette, comfortable armchairs & gas-fired cast-iron stove. Upstairs, there’s a double bedroom with characterful beams and a beautiful bathroom with walk-in shower. Outside, relax on your south-facing patio and enjoy views over the shared garden. The space One of five characterful cottages converted from 18C farm buildings, in a peaceful courtyard setting. Tastefully decorated and furnished rooms in a modern country style with quirky original features such as beautiful cruck beams in the bedroom and bathroom. Curl up in the comfy armchairs and fire up the stove to relax and unwind after long countryside walks from your door. From your own private patio you can step out into the pretty cottage garden (shared with other guests) and relax in hammock chairs or the outdoor seating. On summer evenings, take in the scent of lavender, jasmine and honeysuckle or light the firepit and, on a clear night, enjoy the starry skies. For stargazing enthusiasts, we have a telescope and binoculars available on request. For larger groups, Welsh cottage can be combined with rental of the attached 2-bedroom cottage, Hop Picker’s (see separate listing) to sleep 6 in total. Rental of Welsh cottage includes one free half- or full-day use of our tandem, ‘Aylton John’, subject to availability. Please note that pets other than dogs are not allowed in Welsh Cottage. We accept a maximum of two small to medium sized dogs, as long as they are house trained and under control at all times.
