Renovated holiday cabin ideal for families, friends, bikers and sportsmen in a spectacular medieval village in absolute peace in Grosotto, in Alta Valtellina with free parking available. Baita del Sindaco is structured on 2 floors: - Living area: fully equipped kitchen, table, wood stove, fireplace, outdoor balcony with mountain view and bathroom with shower. - Sleeping area: bedroom with double bed and bunk bed, balcony with mountain view. The space Baita del Sindaco is an ancient family home with more than 600 years of history, recovered from abandonment and renovated in a sustainable perspective by the host Alessandro. The hut is located in the heart of the small village of San Martino, a locality immersed in the greenery of the mountain. Externally, the structure can be recognized thanks to the original ancient walls and the indication "Cascina delle Cavallette". A few stone steps lead to the entrance with dining area: the kitchen is fully equipped and equipped with an electric hob and oven, wood-burning stove, microwave oven, fridge, freezer and kettle. The floor has an external balcony overlooking the valley. Directly from the living area there is access to a bathroom with shower. An internal staircase leads to the sleeping area with a double bed and a bunk bed, wardrobe. This floor also has a small outdoor terrace with table and chairs. Guest access The holiday home is at the complete disposal of guests. Baita del Sindaco is located at 735 meters above sea level. and the free reserved parking can be easily reached via an asphalted road. The hut is located about 150 meters from the parking lot and can be reached via an ancient paved road that leads to the small village of San Martino, in the Valtellina mountains. It enjoys a strategic position: a few minutes from the Municipality of Grosio, where it is possible to visit the medieval castles and the fantastic rock garden of Gaudì di Grosio. The cabin is also located halfway between Tirano (where the station for the Bernina Red Train, a UNESCO heritage site, is located) and Bormio and a few minutes from the basic services of the town of Grosotto. A perfect base to explore the landscape and unspoiled nature, to regenerate the body and live an unforgettable travel experience. The splendid alpine scenery that can be seen from every window and the tranquility of the village give an atmosphere of peace. Other things to note Baita del Sindaco is the perfect starting point for outdoor excursions, ideal for sports and trekking, cycling and mountain biking enthusiasts. We want our guests to have an authentic and unforgettable mountain holiday experience. As it was in ancient times, the house is still heated today via wood stoves. We ask you to use these stoves wisely and to use wood moderately. Hot water is supplied by a gas boiler, we ask you to use water resources wisely.
