Stonefly Cabin is located on Homer’s Skyline Ridge and is a cozy getaway from the hustle and bustle of town. The cabin is surrounded by dense spruce forest and is located on a quiet spot adjacent to over 1,000 acres of Nature Preserve and state land with almost daily wildlife sightings. Stonefly Cabin is a quick, 15 minute drive to town for essentials and Homer’s excellent cuisine. The space Alaska-style “dry cabin” gives you an authentic feel for life in the Great North. This fishing themed cozy cabin has all of your essential comforts while maintaining a spirit of adventure. A comfortable queen sized bed is located in the cabin loft, accessed by a sturdy wooden ladder. A private and secluded guest outhouse is provided for bathroom needs. A quiet and efficient heater keeps the space warm and inviting. Guest access The Stonefly cabin has its own parking area on a private drive, and a secluded personal entrance. Other things to note Hosts maintain the stonefly cabin as a guest cabin. The cabin is an authentic “dry cabin,” which is Alaska lingo for a cabin without running water. Hosts provide water in a container connected to a small sink with a foot-powered pump for washing dishes, hands, filling water bottles, etc. The cabin also has a detached personal outhouse for guest use. Please note that the bed is located in a loft that is accessed by a set of ladder stairs. For your safety and that reason this cabin is not appropriate for children 2 and under, and we ask that children under 8 do not climb the ladder and use the lofted area.
