Classic village house near Guildford, Surrey

Lovely small house, circa 1909, right on the Village Green in the historic village of Wonersh. Set in the Surrey Hills, the village is level and the house is an easy, short walk to a great Gastro Pub, village shops, a small playground and walking trails. The larger town of Guildford is 3 miles away, with a mainline train station and frequent service into London Waterloo (37 minutes). In the village is a small grocery shop/newsagent/post office, a pharmacy, and a beautiful, ancient CofE church. The space This is an updated Cottage right on the village green. Parking is on the 'track' across from the house although there is a hard standing at the front door that can be used for dropping off/collecting luggage etc. On the ground floor are two original receptions rooms - a small sitting room with an Art Deco fireplace (working) and a Dining Room. There is a large entrance hall with coat cupboard and the staircase to the first floor. The rise on the steps is gentle and the handrail is oak and sturdy. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms and 1 very small child's bedroom that sleeps 1. Bedroom 1, the principal bedroom, has an ensuite with a large bathtub and a separate walk-in shower. This room also has a dressing room with a desk. Bedroom 2 is has an ensuite shower room - both of these rooms have Super-King beds (American King). Bedroom 3 has a King (American Queen ) size bed and shares a shower room with Bedroom 4 the child's bedroom. The showers are walk in with good pressure, the beds are comfortable and the bed linen of high quality. The pillows are goose down. There is a ground floor cloakroom (powder room) and a laundry room with a side entrance. At the rear of the house is the open plan TV room/Kitchen/Breakfast Nook with doors onto the garden. The house has underfloor heating to the ground floor but for really chilly nights there is a Wood-burning fireplace and a supply of firewood. The kitchen is well equipped with an Induction Hob and microwave and 2 Neff ovens. Internet quality is good, there are USB ports in every room. Guest access All of the house will be available. There is a storage cabin in the garden that is not part of the rental and will be locked. Other things to note My home sits on Wonersh Common, across from a small playground and a pathway in front of the house that leads to the local shop, pharmacy, the historic Saxon church and the Grantley Arms pub (c1590). The path also leads past the cricket ground where the local teams play on summer weekends and to the bus stop where frequent bus service will take you to Guildford or the neighbouring villages of Shamley Green and Cranleigh. The historic market town of Godalming is also a bus ride away. There is plenty to do/see in this part of England although you will need a car to reach most of the places of special interest. The bedrooms are all upstairs but the rise on the stairs is gentle with a good hand rail. There are safety gates at the top and bottom of the staircase. The kitchen is well equipped with quality cookware and an air-fryer in addition to the other ovens.
