At the end of a quiet street, our 5 bed/4 bath home serves families as a waterfront escape minutes from Norfolk's best attractions! Water views from almost every room. Enjoy our firepit (wood provided), outdoor furniture, grills (propane provided), fishing poles, kayaks and more. Live outdoors! Bring your boat! Enjoy sunrises and sunsets over the river. Full kitchen with SS appliances, smart TVs (Netflix, Hulu, etc), Wifi, W/D, HVAC, gas fireplace, etc. Home gym! Nursery for kids! The space Our home was built in 1938 and fully restored by our family in 2016/2017. Over the years, we've continued to improve the property and we know you'll love your time at this peaceful oasis in the midst of an amazing city! We pride ourselves on treating you as we would want to be treated, we'll do our best to make sure that our home serves you as well as it has served us over the years. We're set up with our FIVE bedrooms and four full bathrooms: one king suite, three queen bedrooms and a nursery that can also accommodate a queen air mattress upon request. Our home has spectacular outdoor amenities - a beautiful deck with Polywood furniture, a paver patio firepit, a pier with floating dock (bring your boat) and gas and charcoal grills. You're welcome to use our fishing poles, kayak, etc. In addition to our bedrooms, we have a sitting room and a home gym (Ergatta WaterRower, Treadmill and other equipment). The driveway fits 4 cars and additional parking on the street is free! We're just a few minutes from Old Dominion University (we walk to football games), 7 minutes from Ghent, 10 minutes from the Norfolk Zoo, Downtown Norfolk, Naval Base and all of the fine arts venues of Norfolk, 15 minutes from Norfolk beaches and 30 minutes from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Within 5-10 minutes, you can drive to grocery stores, restaurants, parks, coffee shops, bars, a winery, etc. BOATERS: Out floating dock is on deep water, so you can bring your boat and tie up right here. The Norfolk Yacht Club is right across the river from our home. On my boat, I can get into the Chesapeake Bay in just 15 minutes and to Waterside for dinner in 20 minutes (long no-wake zone).
