Cute on a budget!

This cute little room w/ its own bathroom is perfect for you if: - you're on a budget & looking for a clean, simple, affordable place to stay - you like old houses w/ character - you're looking for a very walkable/bikeable neighborhood - you're ok with hearing noise upstairs, where we live with our three-year old who likes to run around & is not always quiet :) Note: This listing is for a room & bathroom w/ its own separate/side entrance. It does not have a kitchen. The space We live in a 1909 craftsman that we are slowly, carefully renovating. We put together this guest room by scouring antique malls and estate sales, but invested in brand new fixtures for the bathroom, lights etc. There's an electric tea kettle for you to have some coffee or tea in the morning, but not an actual kitchen, so this room is a good fit for the kind of guest who wants to explore and try all the amazing food/drinks/coffee shops/restaurants Portland has to offer and not cook. (There are tons in walking distance, and even more within a short drive/ride on public transportation.) (If you want a kitchen, we have one other unit (a studio) we rent out on airbnb: airbnb.com/h/pacific-northwest-cozy) Laundry is also within walking distance (Belmont Eco Laundry on Hawthorne) and it's clean and nice and there's free wifi there. We live upstairs and have a four year old that is up at 7:30am every day, so this is probably not the right place for you if you're a light sleeper and want to sleep in. He goes to a nursery during the week, so the daytime should be calm and we did install Rockwool safe & sound insulation in the ceiling & also resilient channels to make sure the noise is minimal, but it is still there. Street is a bike street though--no traffic noise! And ample street parking. Guest access The room and bathroom are all yours! You'll enter through the side door and walk down the stairs. Your room is the first door you'll see. There is a studio on the same floor--guests from both units enter through the side door. But the entrance is all that's shared with another guest--once you're inside and down the stairs, both rooms have their own keyed doors, own bathrooms etc. Registration Details 24-008303-000-00-HO
