Crockett's Cabin is a beautifully restored log home built in 1808 that boasts of historic charm without sacrificing modern comfort. Start your morning on the porch with coffee, wander the property, explore old barns, meet Dixie the horse, fish in the pond, and end the day around the fire pit under the string lights watching the sunset over the fields. This is the kind of place country songs are written about. The loft isn’t visible from the main floor, giving it a cozy and private feel. - A rocking-chair front porch, perfect for slow mornings with coffee or relaxing at sunset. - One full bathroom with a tub/shower combo. - High-speed internet (500MBPS) ⭐️Pond access with fishing available. Bring your poles! Location: 📍10 minutes from Downtown Columbia 📍45 minutes from Franklin 📍less than 1 hour from Nashville ⭐️ The History of Muletown Farm ⭐️ Muletown Farm has a story that goes back generations. The land was originally part of a larger parcel granted by George Washington to Colonel Grant for his service during the Revolutionary War. It later became home to the Armstrong family, and local history says Davy Crockett spent many nights here while traveling through the area. For decades, Dixie’s Cottage served as the veterinary clinic of Dr. George, a beloved Maury County livestock veterinarian. After his passing, the farm fell into disrepair until we discovered it and began restoring it piece by piece. Today, Muletown Farm is a peaceful hobby farm and gathering place where we hope guests can slow down, enjoy the land, and experience a little piece of its history. When you stay here, you’re becoming part of the next chapter of the farm’s story 💛 Guest access 🌾Crockett’s Cabin is one of FOUR guest accommodations on our 31-acre farm. Guests have exclusive access to the cabin and its porch. 🌾Crockett’s Cabin and Muletown Manor are located close together and share a fenced yard and fire pit area. A pathway connects the two, making it easy to walk between them. While the properties are nearby and share an outdoor space, the farm is spacious and each accommodation offers its own private space to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting. 🌾 RV parking and hookups are also available on the property. Other things to note 🔸Guests have exclusive access to the cabin and porch. 🔸The cabin shares a fenced yard and fire pit area with Muletown Manor, but the property is spacious and still offers plenty of room to relax and enjoy the peaceful farm setting. 🔸We welcome small dogs to stay with us! However, please note that there is a one-time pet fee of $50 and we kindly request that your furry friends are not allowed on the furniture. 🔸We are happy to host events at our farm for an extra fee.
