Guest access Apartment Marta offers the possibility of using a common area and a barbecue Other things to note Zablaće is a settlement located along the coast in the immediate vicinity of the hotel resort "Solaris", and about 9 km away from the City of Šibenik. In the Middle Ages, it was known for its salt pans, and proof of this are documents from 1432 that mention Zablaće and its salt pans. During the Turkish invasions, the settlement was burned to the ground. After the Turks were expelled, the inhabitants of Zablaće rebuilt their place. They started to engage in viticulture, livestock farming and fishing, many became successful seafarers, and more recently they have been engaged in tourism. Zablaće is also known for its healing mud, which has been medically proven to be effective in treating rheumatism.  Construction work is currently underway on the Zablaće sewer system, in the street next to ours.
