Beautiful restored country house near Sarlat

Nestled amongst mature gardens and overlooking Lake Groléjac, this beautiful, traditional country house has been lovingly and sympathetically restored. La Lavandula sits in its own established grounds with a large private swimming pool, pétanque court and children’s play area. Groléjac swimming and fishing lake with its lovely, sandy beach is a 2 minute walk away. A cycle path at the rear of the property will take you straight through to Sarlat (11km away) and beyond. The space A traditional stone detached country house set in its own grounds. Recently renovated, the property comprises of a large lounge area with TV, dining table and antique furniture. The lounge leads to a balcony that overlooks the lake ( a view in winter and spring). Double doors to a hallway lead to a shared bathroom and four bedrooms ( one bedroom with en suite). Please note both toilets are upstairs only. Downstairs to hallway with small utility and a large open plan kitchen diner with dining table that seats 10. There are 5 sets of French windows that lead to separate patios, allowing you to enjoy the sunshine at various times of the day. The south facing garden consists of a large swimming pool with diving board. There are parasols and eight comfortable sun loungers with cushions to enjoy. A separate sofa area is positioned under a pergola for shade but also allows you to enjoy the evening sun and a large dining table with benches is positioned under cover to enable you to eat comfortably, away from the hot summer sun. At the rear of the house is a pétanque court with a BBQ and the children’s play area is positioned in the garden within viewing distance of the pool. Children’s play area comprises of climbing frame, slide, monkey bars, 2 swings and a wendy house for younger children. Badminton net, rackets and mini football nets are provided on site along with tennis rackets and table tennis bats for use at the public tennis court and table tennis table at the end of the road. Small fee for tennis court applicable when booking. The property is private and gated and allows parking for up to 4 cars. Guest access Guests can access the entire space. The owners live off site. Other things to note The house is a pet free and smoke free home. We would appreciate smokers to smoke outdoors and there is a strict no pet policy due to family members having severe allergies. A refundable security deposit of £500 is required 7 days before arrival and will be refunded up to 72 hours after departure, assuming no damage incurred. We encourage you to come and enjoy this beautiful area. However, it is a peaceful (but not isolated) location and would ask you to refrain from parties and to kindly respect our neighbours.
