Mountaintop Home in Harpers Ferry

Blue Ridge Mountaintop home with incredible views! Equipped with a hot tub, fire-pit, patio with string lights and hammock chairs, and upper deck with outdoor dining and lounge seating for morning coffee, sunset happy hours, and stargazing. Near Appalachian Trail, many outdoor adventures, 25 minutes to historic Harpers Ferry and local wineries and breweries. Spacious living areas with two family rooms, dining room, large kitchen, 3 bedrooms with amazing views, and 3 full baths. The space -Age 25 or older to book -NO PARTIES -Quiet Hours: Our property's quiet hours of 10PM-6AM are required by Jefferson County's ordinance and are enforced by local police. We have a device on-site to measure noise levels (similar to a smoke detector but for noise) - this is triggered and allows us to be in touch to alleviate the situation ideally before police are involved. Failure to abide by county noise ordinance will result in cancelation of stay with no refund. -Security Cameras: We have a doorbell security camera to facilitate remote check ins and a camera above the garage to monitor driveway activity while the property is vacant. -Bugs/Wildlife: Being that this house is remote and in the woods, there are a good amount of bugs, especially in the summer/fall months. Even if you are careful, some will find their way into the house. Please remember to keep windows and doors (including screen doors) closed at all times, especially if you are away from the property. Please also remember to clean up and securely package up all food in the kitchen each night. Please also securely tie/close bags of trash and recycling and immediately put into the appropriate containers to minimize the chances of bears getting into trash before they are picked up. You are likely to see deer, wild turkeys, groundhogs, and lightening bugs on the property during your as well. -No Pets: Sorry, but we cannot allow pets. FYI to those with pet-related allergies - the home owners do strive for high cleanliness ratings but have a dog so this is not a fully allergen-free space. -Steep Roads/Snowy Weather: This home is high on the mountain and the route includes several steep roads and 1/3 a mile of gravel/dirt road en route to the property. Driving on steep/gravel roads during the winter may require four wheel drive and in the event of a snowy/rainy forecast, more time may be needed to travel. Please use your best judgement as to whether to cancel a trip due to a snowy forecast. We will issue a full refund for snow-related cancellations. Please reach out to us as soon as possible as we may be able to help by providing an early arrival or late departure depending on the weather. ***Main Level: You will enter the house off the front porch into the main entry - which includes a spacious coat closet and additional space for coats, shoes, backpacks, and luggage. Off the entryway is a spacious laundry closet with pantry. Opening up off the entry/foyer is a full kitchen stocked with basic cooking supplies. The kitchen includes an island/bar with 5 bar stools, a full dining table with space for 6-8, and a living room with sectional couch and seating for 6+ - all with floor to ceiling windows and an incredible view - and leading out to the most amazing deck. The deck includes a dining table for 6, lounge furniture for 5+, and will be where you want to sip your morning coffee and end your evening staring at the stars above or the lights in the valley below. The main level is sandwiched between two bedrooms - a primary room with a king bed, amazing view, and an en suite full bathroom. The secondary bedroom includes a queen bed, full dresser and closet, and an adjoining full bathroom. Both bedrooms include floor to ceiling windows with spectacular views but also light dimming shades for sleeping hours, if preferred. *** Lower Level: The lower level includes a bedroom with a queen size bed, small work space/desk, full dresser, and closet, and amazing views. The full bathroom includes a rain-shower head. This floor also includes a second living space with tv, sectional sofa, and dry bar with mini-fridge. Finally, the lower level includes an arcade space with Pac-Man, The Simpsons, a hook ring toss game, and a surprise reading nook under the stairs specifically decorated for Harry Potter fans. The lower level's double doors open up to a lower patio with string lights, two of the world's most comfortable and relaxing hammock chairs, lounge seating for 4+, and a luxurious hot tub for 7+. *** Fire Pit: Please use the fire pit - but in a responsible manner. If you have small children with you, please make sure they are aware of the stove and surrounding area to be hot. Please remember to bring your own firewood and matches! The fire pit includes seating for 6+ and has solar string lighting and an incredible view! By using the fire pit you agree to release the owner of the property from all liability relating to injuries that may occur while using the fire pit, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence. *** Smoking: Smoking is not allowed on this property, including vaping. Guests may not possess or consume illegal drugs on property, including cannabis. *** No Fireworks/Firearms: Fireworks are not allowed. Firearms and ammunition are not permitted on property. *** Septic System and Lack of Garbage Disposal: This house has a septic system and NO garbage disposal. Grease and oil and feminine hygiene products are NOT allowed in any sink or cannot be flushed down any toilets. Never flush any solid trash down a toilet or sink drain. *** Waiver of Liability for Use of Hot Tub: By using the hot tub, you agree to follow all the house rules associated with it and you release the owner of the property from all liability relating to injuries that may occur while using the hot tub, regardless of whether or not the injuries are caused by negligence. Guest access The garage, a pantry closet, and closet in the primary bedroom will all be locked during your stay and not available to guests.
