This IG-worthy poolside cottage is located on the grounds of the historic Snapp House. It overlooks formal gardens, a wisteria-covered pergola (with swinging daybeds), and a rolling landscape. The custom-designed lofted space is modern and light-filled. Window walls open up on both ends to provide a glorious through-breeze all year long. The perfect glamping experience. The space The open and vibrant cottage overlooks the pool, gardens, and rolling grounds. It offers a living area with a dedicated workspace (or game table), an adjoining bedroom alcove and sleeping loft, a kitchen wall, a bathroom with an OUTSIDE shower, and a pantry area with a washer and dryer. With the exception of the sleeping loft (only accessible by ladder), the space is all on one level. LIVING. The living area features a remote-controlled gas fireplace, an 55-inch smart TV with a Sonos sound bar and surround sound, and a table-sized desk overlooking the pool and property. SLEEPING. The bedroom alcove offers a king-sized bed. A loft that overlooks the living space (only accessible by ladder) provides two additional twin beds and is made available for parties that book with more than two people. COOKING/COCKTAILING. The kitchenette wall is outfitted with a 24” Liebherr refrigerator and freezer, a 24" Smeg microwave/oven combo, an induction burner, a sink and dishwasher, and an undercounter ice maker. Appliances include a coffee pot, a Nespresso machine, an electric tea kettle, a Vitamix blender., a convection toaster oven, a toaster, an ice cream maker, a juicer, and an air fryer. In addition, an adjacent tiered flagstone patio offers a Weber gas grill and a built-in firepit is encircled with 4 Adirondack chairs. A propane-fueled pizza oven and an electric smoker are also available for guest use. DINING. The footprint of the cottage is significantly expanded when the window walls are opened up to the private patios. On one end, step out onto a large private terrace with an outdoor dining table and chairs overlooking the pool and property. On the other end, step out with your coffee to a small patio adorned with a retro bistro table surrounded by mature landscaping and roses. SHOWERING. The jewel-box bathroom features Duravit fixtures and includes an exterior door to the private OUTDOOR shower and changing area with direct access to/from the pool area. POOL & GROUNDS. Feel free to wander the grounds, crossing over the creek to the "back 40." Enjoy the 40’x20’ saltwater pool (note that the spa in pictures is inoperable). Spend a quiet moment in the formal garden or “snooze read” the afternoon away in one of two daybed swings under the shade of the huge wisteria-covered pergola. Guests who have rented the cottage are welcome to pop a tent and camp out, while availing yourself of all the cottage "facilities." The pool will remain open as long as water is in the 70s, which is typically between April and includes most of October. GYM OPTION. The non-exclusive use of an 850 square foot private gym may be arranged when the owner is on property. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the property is furnished with cardio equipment (treadmill, cross trainer, and Concept 2 ERG), commercial gym stations, free weights, yoga and Pilates equipment (including a Balanced Body chair and Allegro reformer). Guest access Private use of the pool, cottage, and adjacent pergola and patios. The farmhouse, barn, and the patios adjacent to the farmhouse are the private space of the owners. If use of the gym requested when the owner is on property, coordination with the owners’ schedule is required. Other things to note Because the cottage window walls open directly to the pool area, it is most suited to an adult single or couple. If a family with children is requesting to book, the children must be decidedly proficient swimmers. For safety reasons, please appreciate that for anyone requesting to book with children, I will ask follow-on screening questions related to the children’s age and their swimming skills.
