The Texas Garden Studio

Come stay with Diana and family! 🌼Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place.🌼 As my family and I live here full-time, don’t be surprised to hear the occasional pitter-patter of little feet overhead. You are renting the downstairs studio apartment. Highlights of the space include: - private garage - private entry - king bed - stylish bathroom with walk-in shower - butler’s pantry and dedicated fridge space The space The house sits on an oversized corner lot at the entrance to the neighborhood. Upon arrival, you’ll drive past the towering magnolia tree, past the flower bed filled to the brim with native perennials, and down the elongated driveway. The apartment itself is characterized by thoughtful details and practicality. My husband and I have curated the space to meet our own travel standards, i.e. this is a place in which we would love to stay, were the tables turned! The door which separates your bathroom from our laundry room is secured with a heavy-duty, deadbolt lock, so you’ll always feel a sense of privacy. Though the unit does not have a washer and dryer, we offer some laundry service for longer stays. Just ask! Lastly, let’s not forget the garden! Over the course of 23 years, my parents have grown the Texas native, pollinator-friendly garden for which the studio is named. Throughout most of the year, it is brimming with seasonal vibrance. My favorite garden residents? It’s a toss-up between the visiting monarch butterflies, the Texas spiny lizards, and what we call the “big bumbles.” (You’ll know them when you see them.) Guest access In addition to the garage and studio apartment, you’ll have exclusive use of an Adirondack outdoor sitting area under the shade of the redbud tree.
