Description

Come enjoy a quiet place to rest your head and savor a coffee before you go out on your adventures in the city! This little home has been a popular refuge for many travelers over the years. CONSTRUCTION AT REAR YARD The entire rear yard & east side yard space are unavailable - I've partitioned off an area intended to be used as an enclosed dog run (accessible from the rear of the house). Please note: this area is rough ground and is intended to provide a space for pets only. The space Located in the French Quarter of the city, easy access to the rest of Edmonton, walking distance to restaurants and stores as well as access to a massive network of nature trails and walking paths in the river valley. This is an older home in the Bonnie Doon neighborhood of Edmonton. Close to the Faculte St.Jean campus of the University of Alberta and one of Edmonton's major nightlife attractions, Whyte Avenue. Yet it still offers a quiet and comfortable stay. The house was built in the 1920s and proudly shows its wrinkles and spots, including cracked paint and worn surfaces. It stood alone for decades on this block before any of the adjacent properties were built. Please keep this in mind as you will not find it as seamless as a modern built or recently renovated property. It offers a lot of space and a great location for a reasonable rate. I'm trying to pass along value to potential guests and haven't increased prices in years. Guest access All parts of the house and front yard and rear deck and dog run. Construction areas have been partitioned off for storage use and safety. Laundry is in the basement, the stairs are steep and the ceiling is low (under 6'). From a previous guest: "The basement is terrifying- like something out of a horror movie. Seriously terrifying." -Sept 2018 Other things to note Upstairs bathroom - please try to avoid spilling water on the floor by tucking the shower curtain tightly into the corner near the faucet. If a large enough volume of water is spilled, it will leak through the ceiling into the kitchen. The unsightly water damage has damaged the ceiling finish and will be addressed over the coming winter. Registration Details 473299814-001
