Nestled amidst a lush tropical landscape, this newly renovated 2 bed and 2 bath beach cottage is centrally located and makes it easy to plan your visit. The cottage sits on a slight hill, and is directly opposite what locals call the "Public Beach." The cottage is approximately a 4 minute walk away from the Staniel Cay Yacht Club. Staniel Cay is less than 2 square miles. As a result, you could easily get around by foot, but most locals & tourists prefer getting around in golf carts. Water temperatures are great year round at 70-80F degrees. Just off of Staniel Cay lies Thunderball Grotto, an underwater cave system. The grotto got its name back in 1965 from the James Bond movie “Thunderball” that was filmed here. Thunderball Grotto is a popular spot for snorkeling and underwater cave diving. Explorers can expect to see exotic marine life, bright coral reefs, yellowtail snappers, angelfish, and much more. Apart from Thunderball Grotto, many visitors explore Pig Beach, home of the world famous ‘swimming pigs.’ Along with visiting the swimming pigs, Compass Cay is a great spot to swim with sharks (nurse sharks that is)!
