The Blue House

Charming house located in a small village of the Loiret, 95 km from Paris (Porte d'Orléans) and near Fontainebleau, Milly La Forêt, Nemours, Pithiviers... In the four seasons for 2 days or more, with family or friends, by the fire or around its swimming pool, the blue house will welcome you in its cocoon of sweetness and conviviality. The space The blue house is a small outbuilding of an old farmhouse; the barn of yesteryear was transformed and enlarged in 1993. Cozy with its antique furniture, and bright, it covers 300 m2, thus offering large living spaces, surrounded by its 2 enclosed gardens. Ideal for 12 people. Other things to note Check-in time - from 5 p.m. - no time limit but approximate desired check-in time in order to accommodate you without making you wait. Check-out time is 12:00 p.m. Depending on the availability of the house, schedules can be anticipated, or delayed... a little before, a little after... and free if less than 2 hours. Ground floor opening, street side, on the living/dining room of 80 m2 (garden view and pool garden access through large bay window) or, pool garden side, on the large kitchen; 1st bedroom (large bay window giving access to the pool garden) adjoining its Italian shower room and toilet. On the 1st floor, from the living room dining room, mezzanine office before entering the bathroom with bathtub, Italian shower and closed toilet of the 2nd bedroom - master suite - (garden and garden pool view). In the hallway, bathroom with bathtub/shower and separate toilet common to the 3rd bedroom (pool garden view), and the 4th bedroom (street and pool garden view) giving access to the 5th bedroom on the mezzanine. Comfortable dining room for 12 people, living room fireplace sofas armchairs table; fully equipped kitchen with all essential utensils, tea towels, potholders, tablecloth, placemats, iron and ironing board, stove (Lacanche piano style) with 2 ovens (gas and electric), microwave, refrigerator (American type), dishwasher, toaster, coffee machine (classic filter), plancha, table chairs for 4/6 people... For small children: baby bed, bathtub and high chair are at your disposal. For the day of your arrival in the house: mineral water in each room, towels are placed on the beds made, in the bathrooms soap and shower gel (hair dryer available). You will find in the kitchen cupboards a grocery fund with salt, pepper, mustard, vinegar, oil, coffee, tea, sugar... Household cleaning products, hand and machine dishwashing liquid, garbage bags, toilet paper... Housekeeping and laundry fees are included. We simply thank you for leaving the house in a clean condition, in order to avoid any possible surcharge. In the pool garden: Weber BBQ (charcoal is not provided), large round table and chairs under the arbor sheltered from the sun; garden furniture; deckchairs with mattresses and cushions; tables and chairs; bench, swing, etc. Open from May to September – Swimming pool 4 m x 8 m, Depth 1.60 m – under ESPIO Sensor alarm, compliant with NF P90-307-1: 2009 (additional charge on electricity if the use of the heat pump is requested – in prevention before day of arrival and/or during the stay, at a rate of €12 per day). Bath sheets can be rented on site (€3 per person per day). Nice, respectful pets – like their owner – are welcome, and we will be happy to welcome them! Please just let us know they're coming before you arrive. For the comfort of all, beyond one animal, a small contribution of €5 per day and per additional animal will be requested. The blue house is happy to live at everyone's pace, but if you were to celebrate a small event among yourselves... please let us know. The city of Puiseaux is 5 km away, you will find all food shops as well as a very good quality supermarket. For pastry lovers, "le Pithiviers" is a must and the best is in Pithiviers! Nearby: tennis in Puiseaux; very beautiful golf course of the Château d'Augerville, spa and chocolate factory; horseback riding in Desmonts; leisure center in Buthiers (tree climbing, surfing...); climbing in Larchant (lunch or dinner break at the Auberge de la Dame Jouanne in the middle of the forest massif); all walks on the Loing or along the Loing, its castle-museum of Prehistory in Nemours; Renaissance castle of Fontainebleau; house-museum of Cocteau in Milly-La-Forêt... and I recommend, 7 km from the house, to discover the magnificent flowered village of Yèvre-le-Châtel, one of the most beautiful villages in France, - medieval fortress and unfinished 13th century church. Victor Hugo in 1834 wrote, "I had a wonderful day yesterday in Pithiviers and the surrounding area. Yevre-le-Châtel, which is two leagues away, and where I went on foot with my shoes pierced, contains a convent and a castle, ruined, but complete. It's magnificent. I draw everything I see."
