Escape the ordinary to a rural retreat in a beautiful village in the Sussex Downs with a stay in our lovely shepherds' huts. Tansy sleeps two with a king-sized bed, kitchen and bathroom. Ethel has two single trundle beds. Nestled on a working dairy farm, this retreat offers great comfort and true countryside living. Enrich your children's lives with watching cow-milking, calf feeding, explore local short walks or venture further afield onto the Southdown's Way. Local pub only 5 minutes walk. The space Tansy and Ethel are set in a fully enclosed corner of a field adjacent to the farmyard. Tansy sleeps two with a king-sized bed - accessing the comfortable bed is simple; all you need to do is move the breakfast table and pull on the bed strap. You have all you could need with a shower room, eco toilet and sink. A fully equipped kitchen with hob, combi oven and fridge. Ethel provides an additional two single trundle beds. A welcome hamper and homemade brownies will be provided for your first morning. Guest access We are happy for you to access the farmyard and watch the cows being milked and calves being fed. Please always be aware this is a working farm. High vis jackets are provided for children and hands must be washed after visiting the farmyard. Other things to note Our local pub The George at Burpham is a 5 minute walk from the farm gate. One well behaved dog is welcome and we have toweling dog robes available for you to borrow after walking. The paddock surrounding the huts is fully enclosed and is child and dog safe. There is also space to pitch one small tent. £12 per night adults/youths and £6 for children under 10 years No charge for babies please bring your own cot etc
