Maggie Bay Want a weekend getaway or last golf weekend? Discounting rates for longer stays. We have a 4 acre lot with 2 bedroom chalet style cottage estate with private tennis court and ball field and soccer field in Margaretsville just minutes from the public wharf and waterfront of the Bay of Fundy 12 km outside Kingston/Greenwood, 10km outside Middleton , hour and half from Halifax. 2 queen beds, 1 double pullout, 1 single daybed, 2 sofas lots of room for BYOB Pet friendly-if approved The space Everything you need is in the cottage. Full gourmet kitchen includes all major appliances, dishwasher (no one likes doing dishes), coffee maker, kurig, water/ice maker in fridge. Seating for up to 12 available. Satellite TV, High speed internet, stereo, 3 decks-one covered with BBQ, fire pit outside and electric fireplace inside. HUGE paved driveway-lots of parking and exclusive use of tennis court and ballfields. Only few minutes to stroll down the road to the public wharf in Margaretsville- they have a seasonal cafe and art studio book store. 10+ golf course within an hour drive. Pellet type stove is off limits and not for guest use. Guest access Most of the chalet you have full access except for locked closet under the stairs, limited access to the utility closets- please keep closed and be aware that cleaning supply are in there and under the kitchen sink- so not child friendly areas. Although there is a pellet type stove in the great room it is not for guest use as we have had issues with previous guests- better safe than sorry. Access to two large garage buildings is restricted- please do not attempt entry. Access to the tennis court is via key on paint stick hanging just inside the main cottage door- please be sure to return the key so not responsible for new lock replacement cost. Access to ball field and sports supplies is exclusively for guests when staying, the small brown shed next to driveway and garage has a variety of sport gear , balls, rackets... you are welcome to use and remember to return to the shed for next guest to enjoy. We recommend you bring your own equipment to use -we only provide randomly available stuff if mediocre quality-as you can imagine some take care of it and some do not. Sadly, a place this size takes a great deal of time to clean and sanitize. Please wash, dry, and fold so ready for the cleaners to do their thing, sanitize and reset for the next guests. We keep our rates low this way, and have the 3-4 hours to do it all before next guests check in. Please let us know if you have e a load or two left for us, some laundry can be done while we clean other parts of the house. ASK us questions, bring us concerns, it is our intention to provide guests a comfortable relaxing stay at a reasonable price for the area and size/amenities. We cannot anticipate all issues. Please pass on any improvements we can work toward. Maggie Bay Cottage is a privately owned cottage, not a hotel, as as such it is a work in progress as we can afford updating and improvements. Winter: House has a pellet stove however due to several incidents of guests mis-using And possibility of harm and property damage it it not for guest use- no fear, cottage is heated by heat pump mainly with several separate electric wall/ baseboard heaters I can activate if the need arises. There is an electric fireplace in the den fully functional and safe to use. Please note: winter short notice bookings it may take several hours for the cottage surfaces to come up to the air temperature.
