Nestled in the heart of the popular "Barbieux" area of Roubaix, just a few minutes from the famous Barbieux Park, the Villa Cavrois and its Mallet-Stevens gardens, the swimming pool museum, the Coliseum, or even 15 minutes by car from the centre of Lille, we offer you accommodation in a former private mansion, built more than 120 years ago on the orders of a family of textile manufacturers... A journey to the heart of Roubaix's history and industrial past! The space The bed canopy, the drapes and the bathroom articulated around the period fireplace, there is no doubt that you are here in a room with the allure of a castle and a romantic "shabby chic" style. The room is built around a Queen size bed with particular emphasis on the comfort of the bedding. There is a sitting area with a table and armchairs where you can work on a computer or enjoy a glass of wine with your partner. A spacious wardrobe allows you to store your personal belongings and keep them safe in the safe provided. A courtesy tray equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine allows you to prepare a delicious coffee or tea. In the bathroom, you will first be surprised by an imposing period fireplace, around which you will find a spacious rain shower, a fan assisted towel dryer, a double washbasin unit with ample storage space and some welcome products at your disposal, as well as a suspended toilet. The next morning, in the reception room located on the ground floor, a hearty breakfast made of local and homemade products will be served to you in buffet form. During your stay We are Camille and William, the happy owners of the Villa Barbieux since 2019, and we will be delighted to give you a warm welcome in this former private mansion. A typical Roubaix building, built in 1904 by an important family of textile manufacturers and entirely renovated by us over the last three years, the house is today a clever combination of modern comfort, charm and history of the past.
