Description

In the small, quiet village of Maciejowiec, on the edge of the forest, stands the "Old Castle" built in 1627-1632 on the castle hill. In the 1960s, apartments for employees of the State Forests were built in former stables amidst a 14-hectare forest landscape. We purchased some of them and after careful and comprehensive renovation, we made them available to our guests. The 60m2 apartment consists of two rooms - each with its own bathroom - and a kitchen. You are renting the whole apartment. The space The Bóbr Valley Landscape Park, located in the Jelenia Góra Valley, the Kaczawskie Foothills and Mountains, and the Izerskie Foothills, is very diverse in terms of terrain. The beaver flows between meadows and creates numerous oxbow lakes and wetlands, which are the habitat of many rare species of plants and animals. The river basins and interesting landscape make it an extremely picturesque country with intensely lush vegetation. *** Renaissance manor house The Renaissance castle on Góra Zamkowa in Maciejowiec dates back to 1627-1632. In the 17th century, the manor belonged to the von Spiller family from nearby Pasiecznik. The manor often changed hands and was plagued by natural disasters: fires and invasions by foreign troops. Distance from the apartment: directly in front *** Kramst Mausoleum Built by Emma von Kramsta, it became the final resting place of her tragically deceased granddaughter Renata von Gersdorff. Distance from the apartment: 10 minutes on foot *** Maciejowiec Palace Built in 1834-36, acquired by Emma von Kramst in the early 20th century, taken over by the Nazi state during World War II. Currently under renovation. Distance from the apartment: 5 minutes on foot *** Wild Gorge A rocky section of the Maciejowicki Stream valley before its confluence with the Bóbr River. In the most spectacular part of the gorge there is a beautiful cascade called Dziki Wodospad, and right next to it there is the entrance to a small cave called Dzika Jaskinia. Distance from the apartment: 20 minutes on foot *** Pilchowice Dam The highest stone-arch dam in Poland. Distance from the apartment: 10 minutes by car, about 50 minutes walk. Other things to note Breakfast picnic basketball Basket with bread, butter, jam/honey, milk/yogurt (plant-based products available), muesli/oatmeal, ham, juice. Feel free to tell us what you like and what you don't like, we will be happy to prepare something tasty that you can enjoy in your room or in nature. The picnic basket is an additional service and is not included in the room rate.
