This is a former artist's office so you might notice a splash of paint here or there. The apartment building houses a total of two apartments. The Big Rock Retreat has a Private entrance. It's in a lovely residential neighborhood, but it does share parking with several offices. There is no immediate outdoor space BUT you can walk to a park in 1 minute where there is a playground, benches and a gazebo. There is a fantastic park for kids at Shevans park a few blocks away. And, the Big Rock Park has porch swings overlooking the sound. It is a PERFECT spot with all you need for a fun stay. Perfect for the Big Rock Blue Marlin tournament and the North Carolina Seafood Festival as well! Please note — The next door Restaurant/Wine bar has a corn hole night on Thursday nights near the apartment entrance in the parking lot — on Thursday nights. Thursday night rates are very discounted in order to offer guests a discount in return for understanding that corn hole night may be going on. Typically guests have no issues with the corn hole players. But as a way to encourage guests and to say thanks for understanding, we have discounted those Thursday night rates. A $100 fee will be assessed for early check in or late check out. $200 rekey for lost keys. Pet damages will be assessed and billed. Guest access You will have the entire space. There is no immediate outdoor space, but the apartment is literally steps from a park, two blocks from a small sound front beach, and two blocks for water access. It is one block from downtown Morehead City Waterfront. It is one block from all the shops and restaurants on Arendell Street. You can drive to Beaufort in 10 minutes or to Atlantic Beach in 10 minutes. It is an amazing hidden location. You will be thrilled at the friendly pretty historic neighborhood district once you've checked it out.
