The tiny house is nestled beneath a classic stile-stilt tower, surrounded by lush bushland and birdlife, and with a frontal view of the sea entrance to Lyttelton Harbour. Church Bay, Governors Bay, Diamond Harbour Ferry, Christchurch Riverside Market, and Ilam Gardens are just a few of the nearby attractions. It's a cozy 139 square-feet tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and gas-heated shower—making it a perfect choice among relaxing holiday homes. Guest access Guests will have access to the tiny home and its surroundings, including our house deck and garden, except perhaps other nearby residences. We strongly advise guests not to cross or trespass on the property of other nearby residents. There are over 20 walking trails within walking distance of the tiny house, but if you're looking for a challenge, we have some walks that take more than 4 hours to complete. Other things to note - Firewood costs $10 per pail - No smoking allowed on the property - Pets should be kept on a leash at all times - No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed - Mobile reception is good with Vodafone, 2degrees, and Spark - Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival - We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge Important note: - Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban - For stays of 5 nights or more (or for bookings of 5 nights or more), an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
