It is cleaned and maintained after every visit. We have a licensed realtor on the island who takes care of the unit and is there to help you with any issues that may arise. We have made our unit as user friendly as possible so your experience on our island one you will remember and want to return. Welcome to our St. Croix Oasis, Private, Ocean Breeze, Gorgeous 2BR Condo Welcome to our little piece of paradise! We have used the Air B & B service for many years traveling around to different countries. This experience provided us three perspectives. 1. These travels provided us the opportunity to look at many different properties and locations before we decided to finally purchase this one here in St Croix. 2. This experience also allowed us to see the many different offers, amenities and unique experience that our hosts provided and thus we applied the best of these to our unit. 3. We also experienced many exaggerated offers made by the owners of units that sounded incredible only to find that when we arrived some very disappointing realities. Taking all these experiences into account, we want to tell you about our unit and our island. When we purchased our unit, it was in dated and was in need of extensive repair from Hurricane Maria in 2017. All of the appliances and bathrooms were in need of replacement. There was no air conditioning, the old original louvred windows could not be opened and all the ceiling fans were rusted. We knew the entire condo was in need for an extensive face lift. We are very excited that our condo has been totally renovated, with new windows, new sliding glass doors and central air conditioning, all fixtures have been replaced. The complex has coin operated laundry, but we felt it better to have a new washer/dryer in the unit itself to make this chore more convenient. A new kitchen and a new styled environment with designer furniture and brand accessories that adds the island charm and we are proud to share it with you. We may be a bit more in cost than some of the other units, but everything in our unit is new and care free.( If you are considering a cheaper unit on property, ask these questions, "Do the widows work, does it have central AC? How often is the condo fumigated for bugs? ( we do ours once a month, remember this is the tropics, and these critters need to be kept in check) Do they provide the option to hire an escort service from the airport?” Plus we have a local person on call should you need any assistance. About the Area The Cruzan Princesse Condominiums consist of 34 individuals one- and two-story units. Most of the units are owned by people who call it home. As a result, we have a very friendly and inviting community. You will need a rental car to get around the island and to get to our unit from the airport. All of units have views of the ocean and some are better than others. We are blessed to have a unit on the second floor and one of the better views. There is one parking spot provided for you close to the unit. There is a well-maintained pool on the property and there is a beach area, and both are great for sunbathing. Our beach, although nice and sandy is unfortunately not a swimming beach. (Like we said, we will be honest with our guests) Although beautiful to see and hear, the area directly in front or our units is all coral. With the proper gear, you can snorkel here no problem. Not to worry though, walk a few minutes down the beach and you will find areas where you can go into swim in our warm beautiful waters. If you’re looking for those white sandy beaches to frolic in the waves that are in all the brochures about Saint Croix well, they do exist, but most are all protected park areas and are easily accessible by car. We have free Wi-Fi in our unit so directions to these beaches can be easily found with their hours of operation. We provide four beach chairs and a cooler for you to use when going to the beach. We also provide a book in our unit that lists all the places we enjoy dining and shopping at. A few are high end dinning, but most are our favorite dives that we love to go to and enjoy the island cuisine and people. One such place, The Palms, is just a 200 yard walk down the beach. You have one reserved parking space There is a washer & dryer in the unit. There is a Bar G Que on the Lani if you so wish to use. This unit is our home away from home. We absolutely love it down here and love the day to day life here on the island. We have provided a full service guide book for our guests and we have a lot of information that will assist you during your stay. We also have an on property manager and a local contact that can assist. One thing that is unique to our condo is the experience you will get from us as hosts. You have the opportunity to access our excessive library of experiences or you can have a peaceful week by the Ocean and not hear a peep from us during your whole stay, it is your choice. If you choose to access the library of knowledge we have accumulated from living here and from a large network of friends and business associates all you need to do is ask and we are willing to share. * Restaurant’s - from the islands favorite dining dives to Fine Dining. There are some really great experiences to be had here! We know the places to go and there are too many to experience in one week so get ready for a lot of fun and some great food. * Beaches- We have been to them all, from the most popular Sandy Point to secret beaches where you most likely be the only on there. Of course a list of those beaches we love the most. * Beach Amenities- We like to go to the beach and be comfortable, so we want you do be able to do the same. We provide you with the same gear we take to the beach. We have 4 beach chairs, Beach towels, a backpack cooler, a hand carry cooler and an umbrella. A note here. Some beaches don’t allow umbrellas because of turtle nesting. * Snorkeling & Diving - no matter your skill level there is a place on STX for you to enjoy the underwater world that the island has to offer. Having many diving friends on the island we can direct you to whatever level of experience you wish to explore. If you just want safe pleasurable snorkeling adventure where you can see Turtles a Rays we know where to send you . * Driving- This can be an adventure in itself! We drive on the left on the island and it’s the only place is the US that does so. The history of why this came to be we explain in our condo guest book. Seriously, you really do not have to have a Jeep on the island to get around unless you plan on going off road. We rent a compact every time we come to the island and we go everywhere with it. Just rent a car that is comfortable for you to travel in. Everything on the island is reachable in less than an hour. * Office Space- Now who comes to the islands for a week and brings a computer. Okay we’re guilty, but then again we come for a number of months not just a week. That being said, we know sometimes you need to do that occasional touch base with the office. If sitting out on our lanai listening and watching the waves is not compatible to office work we do have a small desk available for you to use, and of course WiFi is available in the condo. * Real estate - If you’re like us, after a few visits we decided to look around on the island to buy a piece of paradise. If you’re interested or even just thinking about it we can set you up with a couple realtors that we have known for years. If it’s an investment property or that second home we can turn you on to some realtors that are honest and trustworthy. We have used them several times with great success! Tell them what you are looking for and they can show you around. We have an optional airport meet and greet service. You can meet our host at the airport, you will then follow our host to the condo in your rental car. This service is an additional $75. This is so helpful to some of our guests because the roads and locations can be a bit confusing to visitors. Plus, remember we drive on the opposite Side of the road so following someone on your first trip is so very helpful to learning the way around on Saint Corix. If this is something you would like to add please contact us and will make arrangements. What is unique about our Condo is that it is right on the ocean. With in a small gated community, you can see and hear the waves from your bedroom and Lani. Although our unit may be a bit more expensive than others on the property, we feel we have the best. If looking at another, ask this one question! Do the windows work in the unit? Our ocean breezes are wonderful at our property, but only if the windows open. Many of the units here have old windows that are frozen shut because of the salt air. Some, like ours have remodeled their units to have new vinyl windows installed. Be sure to ask. You will need a car to get to our condo. No Uber or Lyft is yet available on the islands although there are taxis. We advise that you rent a car while you are here and plan on picking it up at the airport when you arrive. For guests that are new to the island, we provide a FREE escort service from the airport. A person will meet you there and you will then follow them to the condo as Christiansted is a bit far from the airport (20 minutes) One trick we learned here, make sure you not just reserve a car, but PAY for your rental up front! When cars are in high demand, reservations sometimes get lost. We have never been able to figure this one out. Also, be aware and prepare that on the island we drive on the LEFT side of the road! Here on the island we drive on the left side of the road. You can read the whole history in our guest book, it’s quite amusing!For those from the America's the cars still have the steering wheel on the left side of the car. For those guests coming from Europe this gets totally confusing. You still drive on the left, but the steering wheel is also on the left instead of being on the right! So be careful, take your time and think about the lanes you should be traveling in. Our tourists are the leading cause of accidents on the island, and its usually because they are driving on the wrong side of the road!
