16th Century Farmhouse refurbished in 2020. Lower Genffordd has its own secluded garden next to a traditional orchard and your own ancient woodland with stream. Fresh eggs from the poultry run where you'll find geese, turkeys, ducks and hens.We have a very large organic vegetable plot and soft fruit cage and depending upon the season can supply most or all of your fresh fruit and vegetables during your stay. Black mountains and Pwll Y Wrach nature reserve and waterfall within walking distance. The space The 4 bedroom farmhouse is reached by a short metalled track off a country lane. We live opposite you in the barn and are usually available to deal with any queries. The house is centrally heated with underfloor heating downstairs and radiators (and heated towel rails in the 2 bathrooms) upstairs. There are 4 double bedrooms with various views over the orchard and poultry run, the pastures and the woodland. There is a very large modern kitchen extension (pictured) with windows on all three sides. Note: this is a 16th Century building, and though it was fully refurbished in 2020, it still has most of its original features, including 2 very low doorways and quite a steep stone staircase - so please take care. Other things to note Suitable for working from home arrangements. Good fast internet and two quiet spaces with desks . We can pretty much guarantee you won’t get a better view from your office desk! We are equidistant between Brecon and Hay on Wye both of which are lovely small towns, and for runners both have popular park runs at weekends.
