The river is five minutes away by walking. The space I provide a quiet place for individuals travelling for work and study. BATH The bathroom, a delightful relic from a bygone era, is adjacent to the room. The original porcelain sink and tub are like the wise elders of the house, sporting unique quirks that add soul to your stay. KITCHEN Guest may use the kitchen to store frigerated items and prep meals. THE NEIGHBORHOOD If you love to walk, East Falls offers unique architecture and a safe atmosphere within historic streets. A leisurely 10-minute stroll downhill will take you to the banks of the picturesque Schuylkill River trail. The Jefferson University campus is close-by and offers a nature setting full of big trees and, on occasion, deer. You can also explore the Wissahickon trails by foot, or conveniently drive to various entry points throughout the area. I am available to chat or give you space as you prefer. Other things to note - The cat: Chloe is a sweet, well-behaved cat and has the run of the house when a guest is not here. Therefore, she may try to visit you. Large things and loud noises scare her. Please walk gently and talk softly to her. Also, please be careful entering and exiting the home – she tries to go outside whenever possible. I let her outside only when I am home. - If Chloe accidentally gets shut into your room, I will need to enter to let her out; this is considered an emergency. - The security camera: There is a nest camera on the front porch which actively monitors the outside front. There are NO CAMERAS inside the house. - The neighborhood: East Falls is quiet and peaceful. However, it is the city and crime happens occasionally. To deter theft, do not leave valuables visible in your car and ensure the car is locked. - The parking situation: My street has permit-free parking and is open to anyone. However, permitted parking is enforced on some other neighborhood streets, which means you need a permit on your car or you get a ticket. I suggest reading the parking signs to orient yourself.
