Charming house full of character, in old stones, offering a quality renovation and a pleasant living space. Designed with care and refinement, spacious, economical and comfortable accommodation, ideal for 4 people and a baby. Wonderful home for a relaxing stay, with family, surrounded by nature and whatever the season. Idyllic place, in the heart of Fagne-Famenne and Val de Meuse. Everyone can find their haven of peace, spending a weekend or a few days... The space Our accommodation is a beautiful small house, three facades, in old stones. It is located in the heart of the village of Gochenée, one of the ten villages that make up the municipality of Doische, in Calestienne, Fagne-Famenne. We have furnished it with old furniture that gives it a cozy, authentic and very warm atmosphere. The ground floor consists of one large room with a seating area, dining area and kitchenette. Upstairs, a master bedroom (one double bed 160 x 200) and a children's bedroom (two beds 90 x 200 + a baby bed), a bathroom with shower, a night hall with toilet. Outside, a small flowery courtyard with two deckchairs and a fountain, a storage chalet, a terrace furnished with a table and six chairs and a flowery garden area with a compost bin under the greenery. Gochenée is a small village located in the municipality of Doische, in the province of Namur, in Wallonia, Belgium. With about 295 inhabitants, this village is a haven of peace. It is surrounded by picturesque villages such as Soulme, Hermeton-sur-Meuse, Agimont, Vodelée and Surice.¹ ² ³ *History and Heritage* Gochenée has a rich history, dating back to the 12th century, with traces of Roman and Merovingian presence. The village belonged to the Principality of Liège and was ceded to France in 1669. It is known for the crash of a Wellington aircraft in 1943, with a commemorative stele dedicated to the five Canadians who lost their lives there. *Activities and Attractions* - *Doriémont Vineyard*: a biodynamic vineyard located on the hills of Gochenée, offering tours and tastings. - *Hermeton Valley*: a preserved valley, classified Natura 2000, ideal for hiking and observing fauna and flora. - *Butterfly meadows*: areas designed to promote biodiversity and the observation of rare butterflies.⁴ ⁵ Gochenée is a great place for those looking to recharge in nature and discover the beauty of Wallonia. Guest access Self check-in with key in secure box, the access code for which will be sent to you within 5 days of your arrival. Other things to note Our gîte is located in the heart of a beautiful region whose natural attractions and many small villages, among the most beautiful in Wallonia, invite you to walk or cycle. A region where territorial and human authenticity amaze the hearts of those who pay full attention to it. A region where there are many small local shops offering local, sustainable and often organic products.
