Relax and recharge in the spacious self-contained cottage, ideal for a romantic weekend retreat for two. The space Relax on the verandah in morning, soaking in the sounds of nature. Enjoy homemade bread with local honey and freshly brewed coffee or tea. Breakfast provisions with a local flavour are provided including; tea, coffee, milk, juice, cereal, homemade bread, butter, honey and jam. Explore award winning local wineries, cafes and restaurants. If you're feeling more adventurous, stroll the Myponga Reservoir or take a short hike through one of the nearby conservation parks or on the Shiraz trail. Later in the afternoon, wander our orchard or enjoy a glass of wine by the water, watching the setting sun. In the evening make a simple meal in the fully equipped kitchen listening to your favourite music on the quality Bluetooth speaker. Rug up and enjoy an outdoor fire (wood provided) while gazing at the starry night sky. Or simply curl up on the soft leather couch with a good book from our bookshelf or choose your favourite Netflix movie (BYO Netflix account). Sleep peacefully in the comfortable queen sized bed with electric blanket, cotton sheets and wool quilt. Air conditioning and a small heater, along with thermal blinds will keep you cosy. The ensuite has soft Sheridan towels and toiletries with native botanicals. Guest access Shared unsealed driveway with private parking for guests directly adjacent the cottage. Other things to note The cottage accommodates two adults, however, we can provide a portacot and a high chair on request. Being a rural location, our property may not be suitable for all mobile infants or children. We love to support families getting out in nature so please contact us prior to booking to discuss if this setting is a good fit for your family. On our farm we nurture edible produce, care for native plants and wildlife and raise two children. You may see us working on the property and we are happy to chat or just to leave you to relax in privacy - we will take your lead! We have a very friendly dog, Zoe, who may come to greet you. On your request we can ensure she stays in our fenced yard for the duration of your stay. The cottage is located 50 metres from our main house and is screened for your privacy. There may be some shared outdoor living noises, however we make every effort to keep these to a minimum during your stay. We are happy to offer a short-guided farm walk (or follow our self guided map) to learn more about our fruit orchard and how we manage our land. Simply let us know prior to your stay and we can arrange a time that suits. Please note: The outdoor firepit is unavailable from 1 Nov 2024 - 30 March 2025 due to fire danger season.
