Welcome to Seafarers Hideaway! This 800 sq. ft., Scandi‑inspired vacation home overlooks St. Margarets Bay. Located 10 minutes from Bayswater Beach, 20 minutes from Hubbards, and 30 minutes from Chester. This quiet and private retreat is tucked away 2 km off the Lighthouse Route Hwy 329 and offers incredible ocean views, along with access to a private cove and beach. It is truly a place where time stands still, allowing for rest, rejuvenation, creativity, and meaningful memory‑making. The space Seafarers Hideaway is situated on 5.5 acres of woodland with 300m of coastal frontage. The home features two bedrooms and one bathroom, along with new amenities. Guests have access to a woodburning hot tub, ocean frontage, as well as a nearby private cove and beach where they can relax or launch sea kayaks and paddleboards. Equipment rentals are available nearby in Hubbards. The property is also a short drive from several beautiful public beaches and trails. This vacation home has been purposefully designed with minimalism in mind, allowing nature to provide the adventure, entertainment, and welcome distraction from daily life. A maximum of four guests is permitted unless pre-approved. We ask that guests treat the home and property with care. The property is well suited to small families, couples, and groups of close friends seeking a quiet, private and slow getaway. Please note this is not a party property. There are other nearby properties better suited to large groups and lively celebrations. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home, property and private cove. Other things to note Seafarers Hideaway is located at the end of a 2 km gravel road, with a few turns and some steep sections along the way. We recommend driving slowly, especially on your first arrival, and using high beams when traveling at night. The journey adds to the sense of privacy and seclusion, rewarding you with a peaceful coastal retreat once you arrive. The natural landscaping at Seafarers Hideaway is intentionally ever‑evolving and designed to support local wildlife. Clover clearing help feed visiting deer, while wildflowers attract bees and hummingbirds throughout the warmer months. Wildlife sightings are a regular part of the experience—most days you’ll spot deer nearby, and with a bit of luck, you may also catch a glimpse of porcupines meandering through the property or see our local eagles in flight. Use of the wood burning hot tub is subject to Nova Scotia Provincial fire burning regulations. During periods of fire bans, the hot tub may be temporarily unavailable.
