A great home base on a quiet street in Ballard. The space Our home is located on a quiet residential street in Ballard. It is a small duplex with a basement and main floor unit. The downstairs unit, which has access from the backyard, is where our co-host, Rick, lives. The main floor is yours to enjoy. One of the things that we really love about our home is the outdoor space and the landscaping. All of the different flowers, bushes and trees really make it feel like a little escape from the city. Once inside, there are floor to ceiling windows that really brighten up the living room, and let in an enormous amount of sunshine. Note the intricate walnut inlay in the original wood floors. We also really love the original 1950's kitchen and the wonderful lime green tile that has been left intact! The home just feels bright, cozy and relaxing. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire main unit and outdoor spaces, with direct access from the street. Each door has a key pad that is only accessible with your own personal code. The backyard outdoor space is a shared space, so please be respectful of that. Other things to note This home has been a long time dream for us. We have put a lot of hard work bringing this dream to fruition. We want to share Ballard with others, so all we ask is that you please treat our place with respect, like it was your own. Also, please remember that there is a lower unit here, where our long time friend, Rick, lives with his family and is the caretaker/co-host of the property. Each unit has its own separate entrance. Again, please keep this in mind and be respectful of the fact that someone else is living on the property. Also-I mention in another area of the listing regarding security cameras. We do have a flood light/camera combo on the back corner of the house. This is pointed at the large orange garage door. There is also a doorbell camera on the front door of the house, this is mostly used for our friend in the lower unit, as there isn't a great view out front to track package delivery/etc. Another thing to mention, our co-host also has a Subaru Outback available to rent on Turo.
