Stay on Creek Street! The Star Room is located on the second floor of the historic Star House on Creek Street and overlooks the footbridge of Ketchikan Creek. The Star House was once the only registered brothel in the territory of Alaska before it closed in 1954. Today it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The room features a two-person Jacuzzi tub, feather-top queen bed, flat screen HDTV, kitchenette, and of course, a lovely view of the Creek. This room is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway, or individuals hoping to retreat into a relaxing atmosphere. It's located in the Star House above famed artist Ray Troll's store: filled with artful delights. **Guest should note that we collect a local sales tax (6.5%) and occupancy tax (7%) upon arrival. The entrance into the Star Room is located within a shared hallway. Guests receive a key code to enter the main door and have a key to enter the private room. Guest Services hours are 7:30am to 9:00 pm in the summer and 8:00 am to 8:00pm in the winter. Guests will have access to a phone number that is staffed 24/7. Creek Street is a designated neighborhood on the National Register of Historic Places in down town Ketchikan, Alaska. It is boardwalk mounted over Ketchikan Creek—a salmon spawning, tidally influenced creek in the center of Ketchikan. By choosing to stay at the Inn at Creek Street, you'll be closest to all the best restaurants, activities, and shopping—and you'll be on the bus line if you want to travel out of the city to experience some of the surrounding trails and hikes around Ketchikan. You'll be staying downtown and will be within walking distance to the best shopping, dining, and activities. We try to provide shuttle service to and from hiking trailheads and are best able to accommodate with advance notice. We're also located on the bus line which connects visitors to most places on the island.
