The Star Room

Stay on Creek Street! The Star Room is located on the second floor of the historic Star House on Creek Street and overlooks the footbridge of Ketchikan Creek. The Star House was once the only registered brothel in the territory of Alaska before it closed in 1954. Today it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The room features a two-person Jacuzzi tub, feather-top queen bed, flat screen HDTV, kitchenette, and of course, a lovely view of the Creek. It's located in the Star House above famed artist Ray Troll's store: filled with artful delights. **Guest should note that we collect a local sales tax (6.5%) and occupancy tax (7%) upon arrival. Guest access The entrance into the Star Room is located within a shared hallway. Guests receive a key code to enter the main door and have a key to enter the private room.
