Matapouri magic

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Wake up to views of Whale Bay with birds singing under the totara trees. One room with king size bed, ensuite , self contained cabin with amazing views. Look out to the sea from the shower! Throw open the doors and listen to the waves. Gorgeous bush walks either on site or walking the headland track over to Matapouri. Whale Bay bush walk 5 min walk away. Use of the outdoor kitchen, with glamping style facilities. Pet friendly on request. The space The 'Hut' is a separate building with ensuite that looks out to the ocean. Parking right behind. It sits nestled under totara trees and beside the outdoor kitchen. The kitchen and outdoor space is rustic with all you need, where you can lounge and cook. Plastic drop downs means it's weather resilient but in bad weather it will be packed down (strong winds). We share this space at times in summer but would let you know. There's a chiller fridge outside for food - though no freezer. The main house, where the hosts live, is on the other side of the outdoor kitchen, but very private. You may see the hosts out and about in the garden or if the weather turns and the outdoor kitchen needs to be attended to. Guest access Parking is right behind the Hut. You're welcome to use the outdoor kitchen, daybed and possibly the Cabana at the top of the property - talk to hosts. This is a unique place with lots of different spaces - very relaxed and down to earth. Other things to note There's lots of bush and plants, and that also means insects. Mosquitos abound so bring spray!
