Minimalist Cabin in the Trees w/ Soaking Tub
Welcome to our cabin in the trees, located just 5 minutes from the Soda Dam and 10 minutes from the village of Jemez Springs. The space This cabin is built on the mountainside, so your view from the inside looking out feels as though you are in a treehouse. Views are abundant and the stars are bright! The kitchen is equipped with an espresso maker, French press, and gooseneck tea kettle, along with a variety of complimentary teas and light roast coffee. Kitchen utensils and cookware (along with basic cooking oil and spices) are available for your use. The bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer and cotton towels, as well as basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash). The laundry nook is stocked with cotton waffle towels for the hot tub, as well as laundry detergent and a variety of board games (mini scrabble, uno, poker, checkers, chess, yahtzee). For warmer months, feel free to hang the hammock on the deck (located in the bottom laundry nook drawer). The home also features a fenced in backyard, two spacious outdoor decks (with lounge furniture), a loft with a queen size bed, a sleeper sofa, as well as the main bedroom with optional privacy room divider. Both queen beds contain down duvet inserts and cotton bedding. An additional electric heater, blankets and yoga mat/strap are stored in the drawers underneath the master bed. Because this home is meant to be a getaway from our busy day-to-day lives, it is not equipped with a television. We do have Starlink WIFI, however, so you are welcome to bring your own personal device if you wish. NOTE: If traveling in the winter months, 4x4 transportation is strongly recommended (and required on snowy days). Roads are plowed pretty regularly, however, you will likely have issues getting to the home if the roads have not yet been plowed. If you plan to bring a pet, please be sure to ADD A PET TO YOUR RESERVATION. Absolutely no cats due to personal allergies. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property (1.65 acres) other than the detached storage shed. Guests are welcome to walk the small trail onsite and will have full access to both spacious outdoor decks. Other things to note Guests bringing dogs should be aware that there are predators known to frequent Jemez Springs at night. Although we have never seen any ourselves, mountain lions and bobcats have been seen near homes. Stay with your pets at night and take a flashlight!
