Quaint home with log burner in peaceful cul-de-sac
Description
Welcome to your peaceful Shrewsbury retreat, just a 2-minute drive from the town centre. Nestled in a sought-after residential area, this stylish home offers comfort and convenience with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Enjoy a cosy lounge with a log burner, a well-equipped kitchen/dining area, and two inviting bedrooms upstairs. The bathroom is located downstairs. Free parking is available in two nearby small car parks. A perfect base for exploring beautiful Shropshire! The space As you enter the house, you'll walk into a cosy living room space featuring a wood-burning stove, set into a pretty fireplace. Light the stove (please bring your own logs) and curl up in front of the TV from the large comfortable sofa, or wing-back chair. The Panasonic TV has Netflix and other channels (with the exception of Freeview). The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities and appliances to cater for your needs. I have an electric Samsung oven and an induction hob plus a microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, and Krups coffee machine, surrounding you with all the homely things that will make your stay memorable. There are plenty of cooking utensils, along with contemporary tableware, wine, water glasses and cutlery. I have a breakfast / dining table with 2 chairs and 2 comfortable stools for 4 guests to relax, enjoy food and a drink or two. A door from this leads you to a restyled bathroom with Victorian tiled floor, metro-style wall tiles. There is a thermostatic shower with traditional chrome shower fittings, or indulge in a lovely hot bath after a day exploring. Head upstairs to find two well-appointed bedrooms on the first floor. Please be advised that the stairs are steep, as normally found in Victorian houses, however, there is a handrail on the right. Both bedroom floors have exposed polished boards, and both bedrooms have luxurious black and antique brass bed frames. The front bedroom is a king with built-in wardrobe space and chest of drawers, and the rear bedroom, a double with a hanging rail. Both rooms are elegantly decorated and offer a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the charming county of Shropshire. Outside space Step outside into the grassed rear garden, where you'll find a patio area with a small table and 2 chairs. The perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or dine alfresco while soaking up the sunshine (unless it's Autumn or Winter and you may want to sit in front of the fire instead). On-street parking is limited down the street on one side but also there are two small car parks, one halfway down the street and one at the end of New Park Street. Parking is free across the whole of the Castlefields estate so you will be able to find a space within a minute or two from the house. Located in the desirable Castlefields neighbourhood of Shrewsbury, the property is within easy reach of local amenities and attractions. A 10 minute walk into Shrewsbury Centre from here, to explore the vibrant medieval, historic town, visit the artisan shops and boutiques, many restaurants, coffee establishments and local pubs, or take a leisurely stroll along the picturesque River Severn into the beautiful town park, The Quarry. I look forward to welcoming you, where comfort, style, and convenience await. Guest access Guests will have the whole house to themselves Other things to note On-street parking is limited down the street on one side but also there are two small car parks, one halfway down the street and one at the end of New Park Street.(roads are narrow) Parking is free across the whole of the Castlefields estate so you will be able to find a space within a minute or two from the house.
