The space The historic bones and character of the salt box home have been lovingly preserved and restored with all original mouldings, doors, woodwork and staircase. The west-facing side entrance opens from the veranda into a bright entry room that has a work station and table. In the kitchen, a new fridge, microwave, countertop appliances, electric stove, and double sink enable convenient food preparation and cleanup as you enjoy views of the ocean. The kitchen door opens onto the veranda where a versatile collection of outdoor furniture makes it easy to serve drinks and enjoy meals outdoors. The large living/dining room is bright even when fog envelops the house, with a large bay window facing the ocean. Outfitted with comfortable furnishings and a new sofa that opens into a comfortable bed for additional guests or those who prefer not to navigate stairs. An updated main floor powder room/half bath adds to the convenience of entertaining and hosting overnight guests. The original staircase takes you to a large landing and the three upstairs guestrooms. A fully modernized bathroom includes bathtub /shower with secure safety bars and another ocean view. The main bedroom (Canada room) has a large bay window with unobstructed view of the Bay of Fundy. It has a new queen bed and mattress; its own sink and a cozy arm chair for reading and dreaming. The Waterfall Room has a double four poster bed and large matching dresser, with a view to the forest and brook. Another large bedroom (named Area 51 by the owner's grandsons) has a forest view. Twin beds (one extra long), can be made into a King, with carefully chosen linens for each option. All bedrooms have convenient drawer and closet storage, luggage racks and towel racks. The full concrete basement is equipped with washer and dryer. Exterior amenities include a large veranda on two sides, and a BBQ a short distance from the house. A well on the property provides an unlimited supply of fresh, good tasting water.
