Feel as though you are dining in your very own treehouse as you overlook the tops of trees and the water below. With great views often comes a climb. Take the stairs down to the water's edge and be greeted by the beautiful blues of Three Mile Lake. The main spaces of the lakeside treasure: - The expansive main-level sitting room features super comfortable seating facing a fireplace and a 60" wall-mounted TV flanked by almost two stories of windows that overlook the lake. - The lower level sitting area features several seating options, a fireplace, a 50” wall-mounted TV, and an air hockey table for at-home entertainment. - The fully-equipped modern kitchen is integrated with appliances such as a dishwasher, microwave, oven/stove, tea kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, Keurig coffee machine, drip coffee machine, a water cooler (1-18L bottle provided), and 2 additional beverage fridges (one on the main level and the other on the lower level). There’s also a large pantry to stock with your group's favorite foods. - A dining table with 6 chairs for dining inside. - The Muskoka room, a screened sunroom, has a large picnic table and 2 Muskoka chairs. - 5 BEDROOMS AND 2.5 BATHROOMS to accommodate 10 guests as such: BEDROOM 1: Queen bed BEDROOM 2: Queen bed BEDROOM 3: Queen bed BEDROOM 4: Bunk beds BEDROOM 5: Queen bed - A laundry room with a washer & dryer. - Get together in the game room that has been outfitted with comfy seating, a wall-mounted TV, a Billiards table and an air hockey table for some at-home entertainment. There’s also a wood-burning stove to keep you cozy in the winter. - On the deck, you’ll find a propane BBQ with 2 tanks, an outdoor pizza oven, patio tables with 8+ chairs and an umbrella, plus 2 sun lounge chairs. - In the yard, gather around the outdoor fire pit with 10 chairs (some wood supplied) for roasting marshmallows or hot dogs! - At the water’s edge, you’ll find 4 Muskoka chairs on the dock, a stationary dock (150 sq. ft), a floating dock (20ft x 8ft), cleats on the dock for mooring, plus 1 canoe, 1 kayak, and some lifejackets (various sizes). Distances are approximate. - Algonquin Provincial Park - 45 km (28 miles) This park offers breathtaking scenery, hiking trails, canoeing, fishing, and wildlife viewing. - Arrowhead Provincial Park - 30 km (18 miles) This park offers hiking trails, biking, canoeing, fishing, and winter activities such as skating and snowshoeing. - Santa's Village - 20 km (12 miles) This family-friendly amusement park offers rides, games, and other activities. - Lake of Bays Brewing Company - 25 km (15 miles) This brewery offers tours, tastings, and a taproom where you can sample their craft beers. - Muskoka Lakes Winery - 20 km (12 miles) This winery offers tours, tastings, and a store where you can purchase their award-winning wines. - Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area - 25 km (15 miles) This ski resort offers skiing, snowboarding, and other winter activities. Guest access You’ll have full, exclusive access to the home. No part of this home is shared. Other things to note Guests must climb stairs in the home and approximately 100 stairs to the water. There is a large hill to get to the cottage - all-wheel drive vehicles are recommended. The public boat launch is at the end of Shea Rd and the nearest marina Dennes Marina (not on the lake). Pets are permitted with prior approval. There is no daily housekeeping. Please leave the cottage neat and tidy and all garbage and recycling removed. Guests will be requested to sign a Rental Agreement upon booking confirmation. Between May and October there is an outright ban on any day time burning. HOUSE RULES - Travelers must be at least 30 years of age or older to book. - No smoking (tobacco, cannabis, and vaping) is allowed in the unit. The use of any recreational drugs on the premises is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply is a $300 penalty. - No parties/events are permitted. - Illegal activity is prohibited and won't be tolerated. - No loud music or excessive noise is allowed after 11 pm. Please be respectful of the neighbors. - No more guests than those listed in your reservation are allowed. - No tent or other structures may be set up on the property's ground. - Renters agree to cover any charge related to damages that occurred during their stay or cover necessary extra-cleaning charges if needed after their stay. - Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of check-in or during the stay. - Please avoid moving furniture. - Pets are permitted with prior approval. - Please do not pour grease or food down the drain. Only toilet paper can be flushed down the toilet, all other items: wipes, Kleenex, dental floss, sanitary items, diapers or anything of that nature, are prohibited as they may cause damage to the septic tank.Please do not park your vehicles on the septic tank, this may also cause damage. - Remove all garbage and dispose at nearby dump; failure to do so may result in dangerous wildlife raiding the garbage. Location of nearby landfills and hours are provided in House Guide website. Do NOT dispose of garbage in a neighbour's bin, fines may result. - Please only burn wood bought locally, do not cut or damage any trees at the cottage.
