The Shome Farm Stay

Welcome to ‘The Shome’, nestled in the rolling hills of the AthertonTablelands. This pocket of rural paradise is just 5 minutes from Millaa Millaa, just off the waterfall circuit. Take a breath of the fresh country air and truly unplug from the busyness of life in a peaceful and beautiful converted shed. Our farm-stay getaway will help you relax, recharge, and reconnect with yourselves. Take time out and read a book, or just sit back and admire the creek views. The space Your totally private and secluded farm cottage has 2 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a comfortable King Size bed, walk in robe and beautiful views over the paddocks. The second bedroom has 3 x comfortable King Single Beds opening to the main living area with views over the garden. The bathroom has a modern vanity with a double hot shower and toilet. The spacious opened plan living, dining, and kitchen has beautiful raw stone and timber benches. An old combustion stove will keep you warm on those chilly nights. A kitchen servery opens out to the large undercover deck with a Weber BBQ. The deck has comfy outdoor furniture for you to relax and look over the beautiful creek that runs through the property. Guest access 'The Shome' cottage has its own driveway situated along the creek, just down from the main dwelling. Parking for multiple vehicles is available. Millaa Millaa is located just under 2 hours drive from Cairns, less than 45 minutes to Atherton and Yungaburra, and 25 minutes to Malanda. Malanda and Yungaburra hold local markets with fresh food stalls and interesting homemade delights to discover. Other things to note We are located just off the waterfall circuit, so it's just a short drive to see the famous Millaa Millaa waterfall, Zillie falls, and Ellinjaa falls. Enjoy a leisurely tropical bush walk along with a refreshing swim. The local SPAR supermarket - Tobin's is a close 5 minute drive and open 7 days a week for all your grocery needs.
