Black Bear Log Cabin is a locally handcrafted Douglas Fir log cabin nestled in the trees on a private lot, located an easy 15 minute drive south of Golden BC. Situated within easy reach of several national parks, Golden is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise with world class skiing & sledding in the winter. Equally exhilarating are the many summer activities including hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, paragliding, tandem parachuting. The space The cabin features a master suite on the mezzanine level with large ensuite featuring a huge walk in shower & double vanities. Below, on the main floor is a second bedroom, as well as mud room, hallway & a second full bathroom with shower. Additionally there is an open plan kitchen / dining area (4 seats & 2 bar stools) & living room. A south facing deck contains a 6 seat dining table, propane BBQ & seating area. A fully screened in porch offers bug free areas to enjoy a drink & watch the wildlife in the yard & pond area. The basement contains the laundry room. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire property, with the exception of the locked off section of the basement & the shed. Other things to note Be aware that this property is located on a private, gravel road. The road is maintained year round, however a 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended in the winter months. There is a 20km/h speed limit to prevent damage to the road, which is enforced by the residents. Guests will be asked to provide license plate details for their vehicles. Due to there being a pond on the property, as well as stairs & a woodstove, Black Bear Log Cabin is not suitable for small children. Registration details Provincial registration number: H836356788
