Nestled between 5th and 6th street on Front Avenue in Park Rapids, MN, Light Blue Door is 3 blocks from Main Street, one mile from Heartland Park / Heartland Trail, and a 30 minute drive to Itasca State Park. The quaint home features free WIFI, a 65" 4K smart TV, large aquarium, a kitchen, a patio with Solo Stove fire pit, and a gas grill. Come enjoy your vacation at Light Blue Door. My charming 1,200 square foot home was built in 1948 and fully remodeled in 2016. The patio space and living room are both excellent spaces to enjoy the peace of small town living. Location is key with this property as bars, restaurants, parks, the hospital, and the county Sheriff's office are all within a few blocks. I live at this property with my dog Gill; however, I tend to let guests have the entire house to themselves when they stay. Guests may use the driveway; however, parking is not allowed on the front yard grass. The entire upstairs and patio are available during your stay. The basement may be used to access a second bathroom and laundry if needed. The only areas off limits are inside the garage and the downstairs bedroom, which are both locked. I will usually be available to greet guests and give a welcome tour of my home. After that, I will leave and may be reached using the Airbnb app. Located between 5th and 6th street in downtown Park Rapids, the neighborhood consists of mostly retired elderly folks. Lindquist park is 1 block to the west and offers a playground, open field, swings, and a merry-go-round. The neighborhood also includes a hospital, bait shop, and quick access to Main Street. On Main Street, you will find fun bars, restaurants serving delicious food, boutique shops, ice cream parlors, candy shops, and a movie theater. Park Rapids offers two grocery stores a half mile from the house. A Pizza Hut and Dominos are also nearby for takeout or delivery. A newly paved street allows for parking in front of the house, in the driveway, or by the detached garage behind the house. If coming from HWY 34, turn south onto Front Avenue. Continue through 2 stop signs, and the house is on the left side. From HWY 71, turn west onto 6th street (look for a blue sign that says HOSPITAL 2 BLOCKS). Follow through 2 stop signs and go past the emergency entrance to the hospital. Turn right onto Front Avenue. House is on the right side of the street. Remember to look for the white house with a light blue door! Kitchen: The kitchen light has only 1 switch located at the far end before the mudroom. Silverware is right of sink top drawer. Plates, bowls, and cups are in the cupboard right of the sink. Mixing bowls and cookware are to the right of the fridge, bottom cabinet. Dish soap is in the built-in sink soap dispenser. Dish drying rack is to the right of the sink in the countertop corner. A small trash bin is located under each sink and one in each bedroom. A large trash bin is located by the detached garage behind the house.
