Paddock View

A spacious cottage in the heart of Winsham, a South Somerset village on the borders of Somerset, Dorset and Devon. Paddock View provides a convenient base to visit the Jurassic Coast or just escape to the countryside and explore the local network of footpaths. You will need a car to get about as we are in a rural area. The space Paddock View sits close to the centre of the village, is easy to find and accessible. The courtyard in front of the house provides off street parking and can easily accommodate 2 cars. It has recently been renovated to a very high standard, with new kitchen and bathrooms, new carpets upstairs, and underfloor heating to all the tiled floors downstairs. It retains a traditional cottage feel, but with all the modern conveniences. 2 BEDROOMS: There are 2 bedrooms, both with king sized beds. Bedroom 1 is downstairs, and Bedroom 2 is upstairs. While they are not ensuite, both bedrooms have bath / shower rooms adjacent to them. 2 BATHROOMS: There is a shower room downstairs (next to Bedroom 1) and a bathroom upstairs (next to Bedroom 2) with a thermostatic shower over the bath. LIVING ROOM: The living room contains three 2 seat sofas inc 38" TV with Freeview channels. With patio doors which lead out to the courtyard at the front of the house. Due to the rural location, our Wi-Fi is a bit slow, but OK for browsing the internet. Please bring a Chromecast or Firestick if you want to watch catch up TV or download films during your stay. KITCHEN / DINING ROOM The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, induction hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a small built-in dishwasher and washing machine. Patio doors give access to a lawned area at the back of the house. COURTYARD: The courtyard provides ample space for parking and there is a pergola with table and chairs under cover, for eating outside. Guest access Access to the house is via a driveway leading to a courtyard in front of the house. Paddock View is self-contained, and you will have exclusive use of the house, the courtyard in front, and the rear garden for the duration of your stay. However, in order to keep things looking good in dry weather, we may need to visit to water the plants in the courtyard and garden, we will try to do this as unobtrusively as we can, at about 11am.
