Other things to note It is important to note that, to visit the upper part of La Palma, it is recommended to have a vehicle in good condition, ideally 4x4 and, if possible, with a mountain gear. During the journey, you ascend to 2,600 meters above sea level, in mountainous terrain, and on the way back it is necessary to descend using the engine brake for greater safety. To get to the property, the last 300 meters of the road are exclusively for 4x4 vehicles. It is not possible to descend to the property with vehicles that are not off-road. For your convenience, we offer the following options: 1. Park your vehicle at the top of Villa Montana and walk down approximately 300 meters to the property. 2. Hire a transportation service from San Ignacio or La Palma to Villa Montana. The cost must be quoted directly with the transport company of your choice. These companies have private parking lots, where you can safely leave your vehicles. 3. Rent a 4x4 vehicle, an option that we can also share when confirming the reservation, so that you can enjoy the trip from San Salvador in an off-road vehicle. OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS It is important to note that we are in a mountainous rural area, more than 2,600 meters above sea level. While we strive to provide maximum comfort, there may be occasional situations beyond our control, such as strong winds, intense cold, water shortages due to decreased flows, or power outages. At this point, it is important to clarify that we do NOT have a power plant, since this equipment generates a negative environmental impact due to the emissions of gases and particles produced by the combustion of fossil fuels. This decision is part of our commitment to protecting the environment.
