Anchor Point serves as the gateway to Kachemak Bay, nestled along the stunning coastline. Adventure awaits. The space The Captain Cook Lodge, a uniquely Alaskan log building, was constructed and furnished with careful attention to detail. The property is an original Alaskan homestead that has been kept as natural as possible. The location is right in the middle of fantastic Alaskan adventures and scenery. You won't find a nicer or more interesting place to stay! Guest access You will enjoy the stainless steel appliances in the kitchen and watching the big flat screen HD TV from the comfortable leather recliner furniture. You also enjoy the convenience of two full baths with shower/tub units and use of the big washer and dryer in the laundry. And, relax on the BBQ deck while watching for moose and eagles among the spruce trees, alders and wildflowers. Other features include hand-carved inserts in the front and interior doors and items recognizing Captain James Cook who sailed by this location in 1778.
